I had no idea what happened the previous night between Lina and Sky because once we got home it had been extremely awkward between the two, I headed to my room to get a head start on my assignments for class so I wouldn't have to do them later on in the week in a rush.
I guess the avoidance from what occurred could explain my surprise at seeing her at our practice. "Hey!" I greeted with a small grin towards Lina watching as Sky walked up to her with excitement.
Lina gave us a tight-lipped smile in return glancing back at Evan. We continued to practice even when we noticed her trying to learn the moves before she turned and did it as well without flaws. We stopped dancing when she started doing other moves to watch Lina's routine that was absolutely better than ours.
We soon gathered altogether in a circle while Lina was left out to determine whether or not she should be on the team and as well be captain.
Once we agreed Sky squealed and turned to Lina with an excited look upon her face. "Good news! You made the team!"
"Let's face it. She is the team..." Christina added with a blank stare as if it was obvious.
"And we voted you team captain." I said getting straight to the point causing Lina to repress a grin that was beginning to show.
She then looked a bit confused once it settled in, "But aren't you captain Sky?"
"Yeah. But only by default, and I suck." Sky nodded before pointing at Lina to compliment her once more, "But you're really good. You could fix us!"
Everyone's emotions must've threw Lina off guard because she slowly started to back away from us. "You know, I thought I could do this, but I don't think so anymore." She tried to turn to leave before I grabbed her wrist to turn her back around just as Sky and Christina exclaimed their disagreements over her abrupt desired departure.
