All he ever wanted to do was stop people he loved from dying. Was that such a bad thing to want? Love had clouded his mind and his judgement.

The fear of losing what he loved. Fueled his anger of being unable to stop it. This lead to his hate of himself as he believes to be incapable. This inevitably lead to his suffering.

Anakin Skywalker was like a piece of clay; easy to manipulate. Darth Sidious used Anakin's weakness to manipulate his better judgement. He promised him things that seemed unachievable, and Anakin like clay morphed in the Sith's hands.

He became Sidious's apprentice under the impression that he would learn to save his wife (y/n) and his child from death.

Love made the young man turn. It made him turn away from all the teachings of the Jedi, and he had fallen into the corrupting hands of the Sith.

Fueled by his undying love he did the Sith's bidding. Slaughtering Jedi, killing younglings, and killing the Seperatists on Mustafar.

His rage had only turned to a simmer as his wife had arrived on Mustafar. He had told her that he had found a way to save her. But she threw his love back into his face and he became enraged. Just like with the Tuscan Raiders rage encompassed his heart.

He raised his hand and she began to choke beneath his hold. His rage consumed everything good about him, including his love.

Her eyes held betrayal as she looked upon the man she loved. "ANAKIN THINK ABOUT WHAT YOUR DOING!" Obi-Wan called to him.

Anakin's rage filled eyes met the scared eyes of his wife. Something clicked in the young Sith and he immediately released his hold on her throat. She fell to the ground limp.

He looked at her unconscious body for a moment and stared at his gloved hand. Something so powerful could have killed her and it might have killed her if he hadn't stopped. The smallest ounce of Anakin had lodged itself inside Vader and wouldn't leave.

Not even when he had turned his eyes on Obi-Wan and began to fight him. Not even when he was left to burn on Mustafar. Not even when he wailed in pain for hours as the medical droids operated on him and fitted him in a black suit and mask.

Only when he was informed of his wife's death did the piece of Anakin Skywalker finally leave him. He had no reason to love anymore. He had nobody to love anymore.

Love was inevitably Anakin Skywalker's fatal downfall. He had loved too much, and it ended up destroying him.
Love had killed Anakin Skywalker and rage and pain had brought about the birth of Darth Vader.
