Can't Save Everyone

When you got home you could hear the shower running, so you knew Anakin was home. You walked into the bedroom and heard sobs coming from the bathroom.

You immediately entered the bathroom and you could hear Anakin try to stifle his sobs as he felt your presence enter the bathroom. You pulled your robe off and discarded your undergarments onto the floor. You opened the shower door and entered and it closed behind you.

His walls were down and you were able to read his thoughts and know why he was so vulnerable. He looked so vulnerable, not like the great Jedi General the galaxy knew.

His back was to you and you trailed your fingers along the expanse of his spine. He shuttered under your touch but allowed you to continue.

You wrapped your arms around him and hugged him from behind as the shower water rained down upon the both of you. You kissed in between his shoulders before you spoke, "you can't save everyone, Anakin. That's just a fact of life!" You remind him.

You feel him turn around in your arms and you see his eyes were puffy as if he'd been crying for hours. His long hair fell into his face in which you were quick to swipe away. "I could have done better! I could have done more to help!" He chastised himself and you shutdown his negativity straight away.

"My love, I'm sure you did everything you could, and that is all the force and the galaxy should ask of you! Even a hero isn't perfect you know?" You remind him and you see a sad smile appear on his face. It was small but it was something and it was there.

"I just feel like such a failure!" He mumbles and you make his eyes turn to face you.

"You are far from a failure, Anakin Skywalker; and don't let anyone most of all yourself make you think any differently!" You say pulling him into a kiss. It was simple but it was what the worn out general needed.

He was tired of war, tired of losing people he knew and people he had never met. "You try and save as many people as you can, and sometimes that won't mean everyone, but your still saving lives regardless." You say leaning your head on his damp shoulder.

He felt better about himself as he leaned down and kissed your forehead. "I don't know what I would do without you!" He admits holding you close and your head rested on his chest.

"Well let's hope you never have to find out!" You say as the two of you just stayed there wrapped in each other's arms until the water went cold.

So sorry for not updating this book in so long i just haven't been very creative recently when it came to this character but I also started school again so I can hope you can understand. But anyways I hope you guys enjoyed it.
