I Did!

"How did father die?"Your son Luke asked. You looked up into the eyes of your son; the eyes that he didn't know he had acquired from his father. You sighed and held back tears at the question.

"Darth Vader killed him!"You answer bluntly. You look away from your son and wiped at your cheeks as you felt a tear falling down it. The question had unintentionally brought you back to that dreaded day.

"I have to go after him Ben! I have to be sure!"You tell Obi Wan packing up your things and placing your lightsaber on your belt.

"(y/n) you need to think about this! He isn't him anymore, he could kill you; Luke would become an orphan. The boy is already fatherless, don't make him motherless too!"Ben pleads.

You sigh and turn around, "I have to do this Ben, I need to know. But if anything goes wrong; you will look after him, won't you?"You ask of the man.

The man knew he couldn't dissuade you from doing it. "I promise to protect him with my life!"He said and you hugged him. "May the force be with you always, (y/n)!"He whispered to you and you nod before you depart.

You never thought you would fight against your husband. Yet here you were.

His crimson blade connected with your blue blade. Using the force he tossed you into a rocky pillar. You suffered with the pain as you limped up to your feet.

Anakin didn't give you time to recuperate before he was attempting to attack again. You parried his attack and found a spot and took it slicing through his black mask and using the force to push him away from you.

"Anakin please don't make me do this, come back!"You gasp to him as he was trying to stabilize his breathing.

He looked up and you saw the burns that littered half of his face.

"Obi Wan once thought as you do!" He touched his scarred over flesh with his glove. "The so called peacekeeper is the one who left poor Anakin to die at that lava river!"He said.

"You chose that path, it was not my fault, and it was not Obi Wan's either!"You say to him. You had at the moment stopped fighting and just talked. "Please stop this Anakin!"You nearly plead.

"Anakin is gone; I am what reminds!"He says his voice coming through his mask was familiar but foreign at the same time.

You looked at him with sorrowful eyes, "I am sorry for what has become of you! Obi Wan never wanted to kill you!"You try to explain.

His face was bathed in the glow of the sabers."Obi Wan didn't kill Anakin Skywalker.....I did!"He spoke.

You looked into his once beautiful eyes that now only held madness and anger within them. "Then my husband is truly dead?"You ask with no hope left within your heart.

He nodded his head."Anakin Skywalker is dead!!!"He confirmed his face becoming lit up with the glow of his saber. "JUST HOW EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH HIM WILL BE!!!"He growled his voice turning full Vader.

But before he could attack you used the force to create a fissure in the ground creating a barrier between the two of you.

Vader was not prepared and he tumbled down into the pit you had created. Tears now pulled at your eyes and you looked down to see Vader staring up with anger and hatred burning behind his eyes. "Then this is goodbye, DARTH VADER!!!"
