just like to say thank you for 10k in a form of a special chapter rather than a note. Since I wouldn't be fully committed into writing a sequel, I just wrote this epilogue/ mini sequel. this is ACTUALLY what happens in the end and I'm impress with it. Thank you again for 10k.

I never believed that happy endings existed until after Sammy and I got together. As our love for eachother got stronger, so did the thought in my mind that we would get married.

It was different that day, but I had pushed the feeling of it away. The atmosphere wasn't the same as it used to be, and our humble home tucked away in a small town in Northern California was lingering with tension that desired to be noticed.

I was perched on the island seat, giving the laptop my undivided attention. Emails upon emails occupied my inbox as I carefully read through each of them, deleting the spams.

My glasses began sliding down the bridge of my nose, and I pushed them up with the back of my index finger.

Sam hadn't come home for dinner and it was almost midnight. The soft music plays in the background while I reply to the email that o had received. My phone lights up, a text appearing on the screen.

Unknown: He's never late and he hasn't even called you back. You know something's up.

I skim through the text a few more times, deciding if replying would be a good idea. It was rare that Sammy came home this late, but he did mention hanging out with Jack and Jack so I shook off the feeling of worry that was building in the pit of my stomach.

Unknown: You can try and shake it off like its nothing, don't act like I didn't warn you.

I lightly tossed my phone back in the counter and tried to concentrate on my emails once again. Time slowly ticked and before I knew it, it was already one in the morning with no sign of Sammy.

I picked up my phone and dialed the number, as it rang a few times before it went to voice mail. My mouth went wide, he hung up on me.

I sighed, closing my laptop and heading to the bedroom we shared. I walked into the bathroom, taking off my jeans and shirt and replacing it with a sleeping tee.

I did my night face routine and walked over to bed, tucking myself in. I hear a collar jingle as my dog, Legolas, that I finally got, walked into the room and jumped on the bed.

I remember getting him, since I always wanted a corgi, I didn't bother to look at the other dogs. He was so small too, he easily could fit in both of my arms. He laid himself on the space next to me, as I turned on an episode of Impractical Jokers.

I had no intentions on sleeping early until I knew Sammy got home safely so I knew I would be binge watching. I spent most of the time laughing until my stomach hurt, and tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

After I watched all the episodes I recorded, I check the time once again seeing that it was five in the morning and still no sign of him. I decide to call him one more time, and to my surprise, it was ringing.

With no luck, I loudly sigh, as Legolas raises his head and tilts it to the side. "He wasn't planning on coming home today, Lego." I say, rubbing behind his ear. He closes his eyes in pleasure and puts his head back down on the bed.
