*small announcement*
so school started yesterday so I don't really know my updating schedule, haha. I'm going for at least once a week, like usual. but if I'm busy doing school school work, maybe once every two weeks. if I ever leave you guys on a cliffhanger, I'll update as soon as possible. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this chapter :) it was kinda hard for me to write, but I pulled myself together and did it.
song of the chapter: small bump by ed sheeran
The sound of faint laughs filled the room. As I looked around me, people were quickly typing away on their laptops. Everyone was engulfed in their own conversation as they took some sips of their drink.
I brought my fingernails to my mouth, trying to resist the urge to bite them. The wait was so unbearable but somehow I managed to stay patient.
Looking out the window, the trees were slowly swaying with the wind. Kids were chasing each other at the park next to the tiny bakery I was currently in. Just seeing them laughing and having a good time made my lips curve into a smile.
The chair in front of me made a slight screeching noise as someone pulled it out to take a seat. I had no intentions if checking who it was because I was too busy admiring the beautiful Idaho scenery.
"Pretty glad you actually told me to come out here. It's so gorgeous and there's a lot of different places that would be a perfect place for your photo shoot." The familiar voice spoke up. I knew exactly who it was. We've known each other our whole life and it wasn't until this year when I got to talk to him again. He was still the same, even after we lost contact three years ago. He's just a lot more intelligent and into photography.
"Hey Tommy." I chuckled as I looked towards him. I took this time to focus on the features on his face. For one, he got a lot darker. He is also more buff and his hair is styled differently.
"You've aged nicely." he joked. I'm having difficulties trying to figure out if that was some pick up line.
"Are you hitting on me?" I asked, looking at him with a some-what serious face. He always brought out the fun side of me, so it was hard for me to be serious around him.
"It was a compliment. You could say thank you or at least compliments back." he sassed at me. He's still a diva that's for sure.
"Well Tommy, you're looking adorable today." I laughed. He always hated when people said he looked adorable because he feels like a little kid. I find it humorous cause he gives you the best facial expressions.
"Let's just discuss this photo shoot." he said, obviously embarrassed.
Tommy was, and hopefully still is, a best friend to me. in second grade, we would play house, I was the mom and he was the dad, and he always kissed me on the cheek when he left for 'work'. We always told everyone we were together up until 7th grade when he 'dumped' me. I wasn't really heartbroken because we said we could just stay really close friends and this is where we stand right now.
"We could do a few shoots here. It's so gorgeous, I don't want to miss an opportunity because the scenery is amazing." I said to him, taking a sip of my drink.
"Alright, then were gonna head to Cali for a few weeks. You know, gets some shots there. Wait for the pictures, then you can go back here." He beamed. Tommy was an amazing photographer. When I texted him asking if he coulda manage my photo shoot, he sent me a bunch of pictures he took and they were just amazing.
This was the first time I actually did one of these. I never really knew if I wanted to do it because I thought there was no purpose for me to do one. As we began talking about it more and more, my phone began ringing.
