this chapter sucks :( but it's kinda a filler chapter. Hopefully the next chapter will be a lot better :)
song of the chapter: cool kids by echosmith
"Breakfast is downstairs if you want to eat, we're all there." Kalel said peeping her head through bathroom door.
"I'll see if I have time to eat." I said to her as I put my hair up in a bun. She nodded and closed the door to go downstairs.
It's been two days since Matthews outburst and now I'm heading to Idaho. Since I'm traveling all day I decided to wear a gray v-neck, denim shorts, and my high top converse.
My flight is in a few hours. I called Casey and told him the time my flight would land. All I have been doing for the past two days are staying in the room. I didn't dare to go anywhere near them.
Yesterday, all the girls came up to talk to me so I could vent. I told them how I thought matthew liked me and that the universe doesn't want me happy. They were nice enough to listen and give me some advice.
I looked at the mirror one last time and sighed. Why is it so difficult to obtain happiness? It's all I ask for.
I walked out the bathroom and went to grab my bag and suitcase. Maybe I could take one more nap before I leave. My stomach began making grumbling noises as I rolled my eyes. I did not want to go down there and eat breakfast. My stomach was telling me otherwise.
I walked down the stairs, struggling a little with my suitcase. The smell of sausage, pancakes, and eggs was overpowering.
Leaving my stuff at the edge of the staircase, I walked into the kitchen. I looked around the room and there he was. So content of his breakfast, it amused me. No matter how much I wanted to laugh, I couldn't.
"Morning." Sammy said, passing me a plate with pancakes and eggs. The sight of it made my mouth water, but if I wanted to make this flight, I had to eat in under five minutes.
I looked at him, trying my best to give a genuine smile, but just probably just seemed fake to him.
Walking over to the table, I sat next to Shawn.
"So what time is your flight?" he asked as everyone else was engaged in their own conversation.
"12:37." I replied stuffing my face with as much food as possible. The only person who was watching me was Shawn. He quietly chuckled to himself and I began slowing down on the eating.
"When are you coming back?" Sammy asked from across the table, grabbing everyone's attention.
"I don't know. I accidently got a one way ticket." I told him. That was a complete lie. It was my intension to get a one-way ticket so I could take however long I needed to find a way to rekindle all my friendships that have fallen apart.
"You'll be back before the summer ends, right?" Aaron asked eating some cereal. He sounded so gentle, as if he didn't want to say anything that my hurt me. Even though he didn't nothing at all.
"Possibly." It was just the beginning of August and I had about three weeks to get my life in track. I checked the time on my phone and it was 8:59.
"I'm gonna go now." I said getting out of my seat and going to the sink to put my plate.
"I'll drop you off." Sammy insisted. What, is he gonna try and hit oh me again?
"No, I'll just call a cab. Thanks." I told him.
"Beverly, why waste money? Plus, I don't mind taking a drive." he said coming up to me and looking me in the eyes. I didn't look back because I knew if I did, I wouldn't be able to look away.
