song of the chapter: catch me by demi lovato

I shut the cab door, nervously. Looking at the big cabin in front of me gave me this bubbly feeling. I pleadingly looked at Matthew. He walked over to me, grabbing a hold of my hand, The cab driver getting our suitcases.

"Just don't think about seeing them." he said looking to me. I sighed. We began walking towards the cabin. Once we got to the door, my stomach was doing flips. He unlocked the door and laughter was echoing through out the house. We made our way to the corridor of the kitchen and Matthew leaned against the doorframe. I was just standing right where I was when I first came here.

"Matt!" they all yelled in unison.

"Hey guys! Wait Sammy when did you get here?" he questioned, still holding onto my hand, occasionally squeezing it for reassurance.

"A week ago, c'mon man. Give us a hug." Im guessing Sammy replied. I was honestly so hurt. They didn't even ask about me, or if he even talked to me. Matthew looked at me, I automatically knew he was asking if he could go say hi. I let go of his hands and stood there, watching him walk into the kitchen. I silently sighed, getting tired of everyone and everything.

"So where did you go for like the past week man!?" I think one of the Jacks said.

"Actually, I have a surprise for you guys." he said. What?! No, this is not what was supposed to happen.

"Really, go get it!" Mahogany chirped. Crap crap crap crap crap. He walked out the kitchen, looking at me. He hesitantly grabbed my hand, and started leading me to the kitchen. I looked down at the floor and we walked in. the clanking of eating utensils on glass plates was the only thing I heard.

"Beverly?" Thalia questioned. I looked up, seeing everyone but one unfamiliar face.

"What are you doing here?" Kalel panickly asked.

"Good to see you guys too." I mumbled under my breath.

"What's going on?" Matthew whispered to me. Why would he think I know. I looked over at them and they were all whispering to each other, keeping secrets.

"How would I know? it's literally been two weeks since we talked." I whispered back. By the time we focused our attention on them, they were all huddled up, talking. Getting tired of it, I walked out the kitchen and decided to get our luggage. Matthew followed my lead and once we managed to get all our suitcases up the stairs, we searched for an empty room. Walking down the corridor, the last room wasn't taken by anyone and we decided we would just share the room together. I laid back on the comfy bed, wishing I could just lay there all day.

"They definitely kept secrets. It hurts a lot." Matthew said, lying down next to me. He was right, it hurt a lot not knowing what they are talking about. It made me feel vulnerable being around them without thinking they were talking about me. They had to be talking to me. i know that because matthew did nothing wrong. he didn't storm out of the cabin like a big baby.

"It sucks." I replied. There was nothing else to say. That's all that could come out of me. I sat up, looking through the huge window that was in front of me. The trees swayed with the wind.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom and maybe downstairs to find out what's going on." Matthew said before walking out the door, quietly shutting it. Silence filed the air, sometimes the wind being loud enough for me to hear. The door slowly, but quietly opened but I kept my focus on the window.

"That was quick." I spoke, to who I'm guessing was Matthew.

"What was quick?" An unfamiliar voice replied. I turned my head to see I'm guessing Sammy. He was intensively staring at me.
