chapter 5 camel hamp valley

That night curtis helped me grind wheat from grain after making a stone grinder with his scale to shape it perfectly. after making the dough I just roast it with spices and salt and ate with fruits. well this is all we can do right now. curtis only eat once a day a medium size prey to replenish his strength as a beast man, without roasting as a snake-man. after having dinner, we went back to sleep cuddling each other.
Doliz-''let's go to camel hamp valley tomorrow.''
Curtis-''why?'' I need to coax my hubby.
Doliz-''because I have to have more mates.'' with my exclamation curtis was angry again. god when won't he be angry.
Curtis-''why? am i not enough?''
Doliz-''not enough. you know my human race has already extinct. I  need to protect myself well, specially when I am pregnant. more ever you will hibernate in cold season. then what would I do, I can't hibernate like you. I can't protect myself and our child.'' with my reasoning he was perplexed and had sore expression on his face. ''don't worry I will never abandon you. even though your mark is not on my heart but it also isn't on my arms and legs. the place where your mark is show that I really like mating with you. It is where I have our babies.''
Curtis-''really?''
Doliz-''yes that place is very special part of my body just like heart and it is very rare to have mating mark there cause it is near to my most sensitive part of body and we human race have another reason to be targeted by not only flame city but also other tribes in the verge of extinction'' curtis was serious with my remark.
Curtis-''what is it?'' he was nervous.
Doliz-''we human female don't have estrous cycle instead menstruation cycle.''
Curtis-''what is menstruation cycle?''
Doliz-''we human female won't bleed like other female of other race once a year instead once a month. we have strong reproduction ability. you didn't ask about beast form of human race but truth is that human male don't have beast form. they are born in their human form just like every female in entire beast world.''
Curtis-''how can that be possible? I have never heard about female bleeding every month.''
Doliz-''it's because to protect ourselves, we live in hiding and won't contact outsider but for some reason they got news of our whereabout and war broke out.'' to not make me further sad he changed the topic .
Curtis-''okay. we will go to camel hamp valley. it take us five days to reach there in normal speed. In your condition we better leave tomorrow.''
Doliz-''don't you ask why we have to go there out of all other places?''
Curtis-''I believe you and follow you everywhere. as long as you are happy.''
Doliz-''I know. you are the best so I will tell you because I am not going to have too many mates and for that I need to have strongest males.'' curtis was at ease when I said that and kiss me on forehead. just like that I went to sleep in his coil. curtis was still unease but didn't say anything more.
the next morning after having a hearty breakfast of fruits, we left to our journey to camel hamp valley. my pregnancy was still unstable so we took good rest in between. I didn't have anything cooked of grain for a whole week in the journey because it was inconvenience. mainly eating fruits but with salt and chili powder it did pass however .I strongly suggested curtis to take me to hunting ground as I don't want to be separated from him but he rejected me saying that it would be dangerous for me. he just left me on a tall tree near hunting ground so that he could deal with any threat for me.
On the seventh day we reach camel hamp valley which was very crowded .I saw many leopard male surrounded a leopard which is so huge compared to any other leopard beast man in his beast form with a female on his back .female face was covered with mud that anyone think of her ugly .the female was despised by many. this scene was too familiar with plot of female lead entering the village.
A female in the crowd loudly said- ''she don't have any mark, she must be infertile that no male want her and she is also ugly. parker be my mate. I will soon be in heat and we will have a strong litter of cub. leave that ugly female.''
Looking at the scene I confirmed that it's indeed the scene when heroine enter the village. before anyone notice our presence, we left the scene as we are not interested in it. curtis asked threateningly a male about healer hut. before he alarm others about feral presence or a new (me) female presence, I said-'' I  am pregnant. hurry up to healer before it's too late or else you can't bear the consequence.''
With my threat he just lead us to harvey's hut .thank god I reach here before bai qing qing the main character. well I already stole curtis. I knock on the broken wooden door. after some time he opened the door surprise written on his face as he show me in with his hand.
Harvey-''what can I do for you female?''
Doliz-''I want you.'' curtis beside me was very tense with me bringing this topic.
Harvey-''what?'' harvey was also confused. he don't dare to think about mating such an excellent and beautiful female like doliz as he is too weak of a strip-less beast than a tetra mark feral like curtis. he thought this female have some other purpose.
Doliz-'' I mean, I want you as a mate.''
Harvey-''why? I am very weak to protect you.'' his face has a sad expression as he said that.
Doliz-''I don't care. you are gentle and most importantly you are a healer. I just think you will be very good to my cub.  will you be my mate?'' this is my first time ever proposal for marriage to which I am a noob so don't expect much from me.
Harvey-''of course I can't reject a female proposal of partnership.''
I was very satisfied with his answer so I told curtis to go to his den near village to shed his skin. I remember that it was time in novel when he shed his skin which was founded by female lead after some days. curtis looked at me like' how do you know'.
Doliz-''why are you looking at me like that. I know that you have to shed skin once a year or you already shed it?''
Curtis-''No I need to. In some days I guess just to accompany you.''
Doliz-''then you go quickly. sooner you go sooner you return right please curtis.''he know I am just finding excuse to send him away to bond with harvey. I just don't want to hurt his feeling.
Curtis-'' okay I will leave.'' saying that he reluctantly left.
Doliz-'' so harvey what is your opinion on me, I mean, don't be afraid of curtis. he just love me too much.''
Harvey'' I can understand and I genuinely want to mate you female.''
Doliz'' not female. my name is Doliz.''
Harvey-''okay doliz. you are pregnant let me check first.'' he sniff around me and said-''you have mild odor of pregnancy.''
Doliz-''yes, it's just been a week of pregnancy when we checked at sheep village. harvey I am hungry.'' I said making pout expression.
Harvey-''what do you want to eat tell me, I will hunt for you.''
Doliz-'' I don't eat meat but right now I very urgently want to eat you.''
