Chapter 44 considerate

Author POV-

When Doliz run to herb room, Harvey urgently told Curtis to take the stone bowl from the Kitchen and bring the blood of Hell pig whose body is lying outside. Curtis who is heartbroken seeing his mate in such state also wants to make up for his mistake. He hurriedly grabbed the bowl and went out to get the blood leaving Harvey behind to look for Ruble.
Harvey can't get the blood himself as his hands are preoccupied pressing the nubs to reduce the speed of blood to minimize the blood loss.
Doliz-''Harvey here is no herb with yellow flower.'' came the urgent and panicked voice of Doliz from the herb room.
Harvey-''Look carefully, It should be there somewhere.''
Shuu-''Here are the things.''
Harvey-"Quickly cut this pelt in long strips.''
Shuu-''Okay.'' Harvey himself took the fine cotton pad which was supposed to be used by Doliz for her period bleeding.
Curtis-"Here is the blood." Harvey took the bowl from curtis's hands. He pinched ruble's chin and opened his mouth to feed it to him.
Harvey-"We still need more." Hearing this Curtis grabbed the stone bowls from Harvey and again went out to get it.
Doliz-"Harvey here is no herb with yellow flower."
Harvey-"Oh I remembered. It was actually red flower. I am sorry, my mistake."
Doliz-"Red it is? But here are a lot of such flowers. Which one in particular?" Her voice was slightly perplexed .
Harvey-"Red flower with oval leaf."
Curtis-"Here"
Harvey-"Okay good." Harvey again repeated the previous process of blood feeding.
Shuu-"Done. What to do next?"
Harvey-"Help me clean up the wound and Curtis you take another bowl to get the blood." Without saying anything Curtis Start doing his part of task. Well it his fault to begin with so he can't shrink his responsibility.
Doliz-"Found it Harvey."
Harvey-"Help me grind it mate. The grind stone should be in my animal skin bag."
Doliz-"Okay." When Doliz brought the paste of herb over, the guys were done with their part of the work. Even the blood on Rubel's lips were wiped clean." Here is the herbal paste you asked for."
Harvey-"Okay good, with this everything is done."
When everyone's focus was on Rubel , pearl entered the house with wet hair as though she just finished bathing. "What's going on? What happened here?" Noone in the mood of to say anything.
Shuu-"Where have you been for so long?"
Pearl-"I went to excrete and later took a bath in the river. I washed my hair today so it took a little longer."
Shuu-"You went alone or monsoon was there with you?"
Pearl-" No, I was alone. I thought-" Doliz cut her sentance in middle" you thought what! It's daytime. Are you aware how dangerous it is."
Pearl-" Rubel was bathing in the washroom so I went to bath in the river. Everyone seems busy. I don't want to disturb."
Doliz-" For God sake please disturb us pearl. You are a female. Your safety is threatened everywhere. Even your beauty is your enemy. What if feral kidnapp you in the river. Okay forget about feral, what about mermaid. What if the bird beast man kidnapp you from sky. What will your brother do."
Pearl-" I am sorry. I really don't want to bother you. I don't want to be a burden on you sob. I really don't mean it like that. Please don't hate brother because of me." She started crying as tears rolled down from her eyes through her cheeks to chin making spiral wet line along the way adding more innocent charm to her face.
Doliz never expected pearl to think so much of her relation to monsoon. Or she thinks of her as an evil and difficult person. Okay she is evil and difficult but she is not unreasonable. As long as other party don't provoke her, she won't do anything. After all there is no absolute friend but only absolute enemy in her dictionary.
Doliz think of pearl as her family so she won't mind pearl after all pearl's intentions were not to provoke her. Doliz stood up and hugged pearl. She soothe pearl's emotions by patting on the small of her back.
Doliz-" Don't cry. I am not mad at him because of you. You are never a burden..never. you are so cute and nice. How can I do so. Even if I and your brother has some misunderstandings but you are never going to be dragged into it.(Okay she can't help with her choice of words. After all it is how she is. She is adding more fuel to the fire without such intentions)
I was just worried for you. You could have waited till Rubel finishes his bath. You could have been more patience. Okay good girl sob don't cry sob sob." Talking about Rubel made her sad again.
Pearl-" Now why are you crying too?"
Harvey & shuu & Curtis-" Mate!"
Doliz-" I am sob fine sob sob sob"
Shuu-" Shhh don't cry. You look ugly like this."
Harvey-" Ruble's condition is stable now."
Pearl-" What happened in my absence? There is a big black creature outside and now Rubel is hurt and who are they?" Pearl pointed toward Curtis and the unconscious stranger who was lying on the ground.
Shuu-" He is one of us. He is the first mate of doll and the other guy is just a pursuer. He came here to pursue my mate with that hell pig as a gift."
Pearl-" Really!"
Doliz-" Really what? You don't believe it."
Pearl-" No No just both of them are here for you, which surprise me a little." This peaceful chat of Doliz and pearl ease the tention.
Both Harvey and shuu took Rubel to the room to rest meanwhile the stranger was mercilessly thrown out by Curtis along with the dead body of hell pig.
Doliz-"you go back Curtis. Don't leave the hole for too long. My eggs are unprotected."
Curtis-" Mate I -"
Doliz-"Just go. I don't want to talk to you now." Doliz ran to Rubel room without looking back as If she wanted to completely isolate herself from him. Her steps were rushed as If she is running for her life. Her emotions were unstable. She don't want to face him now. What she wanted to do the most is care Rubel.Deep inside she blames herself for his such state.
Looking at their mate like this, both shuu and Harvey were heartbroken. Harvey was worried for her strong reaction to the blood so he sent her away to bring the herb so that he could feed blood of hell pig to Rubel to make up for his iron and other blood nutrition loss without much worries.
Doliz who can't even bear to see the corpus of those hunted wild animals would be afraid to see this. But what Harvey don't know is that Doliz is not afraid but disgusted. As for the blood, she don't have hemophobia. Harvey is simply overthinking but it's so sweet of him.
