We started walking in the woods while looking for Pete first since he was closer. Rebecca came to us to apologize. "Hey, Clem. Y/n. I'm sorry what was said back there." She said.
"So why is Carver after you?" I asked her.
"After me?" Rebecca asked. "Oh you mean us. He has a hard time letting go." She told us. "I know you guys did your best. Sometimes its hard knowing I'm so dependent I am on everyone. I'm not used to that. I'm not comfortable with that. I'm supposed to be a mom soon. Alvin and I still don't know what to call her. Or him if that man gets his wish, god help me" Rebecca said.
"Our friends, Omid and Christa, were thinking of naming their kid after them." Clem said.
"There!" I exclaimed. I pointed at the truck me and Pete were in last night. I ran to open it. "Where is he?" Luke asked.
"Maybe he's around here somewhere." Alvin said. Clem got our attention. We went over and saw the chewed up and shot dead body of Pete. He was shot in the head. "He didn't have a gun." I said.
"We need to go. Find Nick." Carlos said.

We kept walking. Carlos eventually noticed a gun I had in my pocket. "Where did you get that, Y/n?" He asked.
"There!" Clem said. We saw a shed. Luke went to the shed and opened it. He saw Nick lying on the floor. "Hey dude. Got any aspirin?" Nick asked.
"Nick, you ass." Luke helped Nick up. Nick looked at us and saw I was alive, but Pete wasn't with us. "Where's Pete?" Nick asked.
"We already found him. He's dead." I told Nick. Luke hugged Nick. We continued walking. Nick stayed next to me. "Tell me. Tell me how it happened." Nick requested.
"He wanted to say goodbye to you." I told Nick. I could tell it filled him with guilt. He started to lag behind the group a little. "Keep an eye on him. You guys still with us?" Luke asked.
"We're with you." Clem said.
"Yeah." I said.
"I'd say we got about four or five more days until we reach those mountains." Luke said, looking at the map.

Five Days Later...

We made it to a bridge. Clementine climbed on a rock to do a check of the terrain with her binoculars. "See anything?" Luke asked.
"There's a building on the mountain." Clementine said.
"Whats it look like?" Luke asked.
"Its big."
"Could be a place to spend the night."
"There's a lift or something." Clem said.
"Chairlift? Must be that old ski resort."
"Our parents wanted to take a skiing one. I declined the offer, though." I said.
"There's a little house by the bridge."
"How big is it?" Carlos asked.
"Its pretty small."
"The bridge looks passable." Clementine put her binoculars back. She came back to us. "We don't know who's out there. I'm gonna sneak across, make sure its clear before we bring the whole group." Luke told Carlos.
"You think splitting up the group is a good idea?" Carlos asked.
"I never said it was a GOOD idea, but its better than riskin' everyone at once. Clem, Y/n, and I can scoot across low and slow, make sure no ones waiting for us."
"Clementine and Y/n should stay here. She's..." Carlos started to explain, but I immediately shot him down. "Uhh, imma just stop ya right there, Doc. Remember what we did two night ago? She stitched her OWN arm up with hardly any help from me, and we both know how to use these." I pulled the gun out from my back pocket. "We have both been exposed to the outside world enough. We're going." I said, leaving Carlos speechless.
"If something happens, I'll cover you." Nick said.

We got to the bridge. "Why would Carver still be after us?" I asked myself. Clem and Luke took notice. "Whats the most important thing in this world?" Luke asked us.
"Family." We both said.
"Its a tough world without people you can trust." Luke said. "You can ask Rebecca. We've all made mistakes. Done things we regret."
"We know what thats like." I told Luke. We saw two walkers. "All I got is the gun. No bullets. Plus, sound." I said.
"Lets take 'em." Clem said.
"I'll take the big one. You take shorty." Luke said.
"I'll take the small one." Clem said.
"I'll help however I can." I said. Clem was about to attack the walker. She hit the little walker's skull with the hammer. Luke decapitated the other walker. Clem yanked the hammer out of its skull. We kept moving.

We were barely a fourth across before we saw walkers. Clem and Luke pulled their weapons out. The bridge broke under Luke and a walker. "Luke!"
"I'm okay. I just...I'm stuck." Luke said. I tried reaching for him. "Behind you!"
"Oh, shit..." Clem said. I had to hold my laugh in. I pulled out the pistol I took from Sarah earlier and hit the walker in the knee. Clem tried to kill it, but it jumped at her. Clem almost fell and dropped her hammer. I grabbed the walker by the arms while Clem pulled herself up. I grabbed Luke's machete and stabbed the walker in the head. Clem was almost back up. I grabbed Clem and helped her up. She grabbed a bar and hit the walker that fell with Luke. Luke took it from her and used it as leverage to get back up. "Thanks, y'all." Luke said. We kept moving and saw a man walking to us in a hoodie with a rifle. "Play it cool. And Clem, you do the talking." Luke told us.
"Why me?" Clem said.
"You really think he'd shoot a little girl?"
"I'd shoot me." Clem said. I looked at her and studied over the walker blood on her face. "Yeah, i would too." I said.
"Well, who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Clementine. This is Luke, and Y/n." Clem said.
"Clementine, Luke, and Y/n." He came a little closer. "You don't look like assholes. Are you assholes? No offense or anything."
"I'm not an asshole." I said.
"Me either." Clem said.
"Are you calling ME an asshole?" Luke asked, smiling. Luke's response earned a laugh from the guy. "You heading North like everyone else?" He asked.
"Yeah, we are. Uhh, have you seen anyone named Christa?" I asked him.
"Christa? Maybe. A lot of people come through here. I don't know." He told us. "I gotta say, you two look like shit. If you need food, I've got some canned stuff in that station back there."
"Well, that's uh, awful nice of you. Whats the catch?" Luke asked.
"No catch. I got plenty."
"Well, all right then. Thank you."
"Hey, no problem. Nice running into friendly faces out here. Like I said, I got food and supplies in that station back there. And if you want..." He slowed down his words and squinted his eyes. "What the fuck, man?" He asked. We turned around and saw Nick running. He aimed at the man, the man aiming at him. "No, no, no, no! He's wi-- he's with us!" Luke told him.
"DON'T SHOOT!" Clem shouted. We heard a gunshot and heard the man gagging. His neck was bleeding and he fell off the bridge. Nick came to us. "Where is he?" Nick asked.
"He was gonna help us." Clem said.
"That shot rang out for miles. We gotta get off this bridge. Lets go." Luke signaled for the rest of the group to come.
