I was sitting at their dinner table with my arms crossed. The guy looking at Clem's arm, whose name I learned is Carlos, was a doctor. "His surgical skills..."
"Actually, Clem stitched herself up." I jumped in.
"Her surgical skills could use some work, but she'll be fine." Carlos said. Nick walked out of the room. "There's something you two should know." Carlos said.
"That you're willing to leave one to die in a shed? Message received." I said. Carlos shook his head. "We locked her in that shed for the concern of our loved ones. Then you helped her sneak out and persuaded my daughter to steal from us." He scolded. I had no clue what he was talking about. "Uhh, Clem? Did you see his daughter?" I asked.
"Yeah. She gave me the peroxide." Clem said. "And I'm sorry I asked her to help." Clem said.
"She isn't like you. If she knew what the world was like, she would cease to function." Carlos told us. "But, you're forgiven."
"Uhh, Doc? I know i shouldn't tell you how to do your job, but thats a terrible idea. Shielding Sarah from the outside world could be dangerous." I said, trying to reason with him. Carlos just shook his head left the kitchen. Luke came through with two bowls. He gave them to us and took a seat. "So. Since you two are pretty much on your own, whats y'all's plan?" Luke asked us.
"Maybe we could stay here for a while?" Clem asked.
"Well i'd be fine with that." Luke said. He then looked at me. "Don't think we got your name."
"I'm Y/n. I'm her brother." I told him.
"Well, its nice to meet you Y/n. Hope us locking Clementine in the shed doesn't give us a bad rep." Luke said. "You said she did that herself?" Luke asked.
"Yeah." Clem said. "I did."
"Holy shit. I mean, it would've left a scar either way, but...just holy shit." Luke said as Nick walked in. He came to the table and stood next to us. "So uhh, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for...well, for being a dick out there." Nick said. "I got kind of agro, and that was definitely not cool."
"You were just protecting your friends. I get it." Clem said to him. Nick took a seat next to me. "I didn't mean to be so harsh, it's just...we had a bad experience once." He told us.
"What uhh...happened?" I asked.
"Nick lost his mom. We took care of someone who'd get bit." Luke told us.
"It was my fault. I--"
"It was no ones fault." Luke said, interrupting Nick. "We thought we could control it, but...we couldn't." Luke started. "And then she turned and his mom was standing right there and she got attacked..." Nick nodded his head at Luke. "There was nothing we could do about it."
"Anyway. Hopefully you understand." Nick said, standing up.
"Yeah. I do." Clem said. Nick gave a smild
"So, I feel like I'm missing a piece here." I said.
"Nick almost shot Clem by mistake." Luke told me.
"Yeah. Hopefully you don't hate me now, being her brother and all." Nick said to me.
"She's still alive. I think it's fine." I told Nick. He walked out of the room, and Pete stepped in. Pete was the older man in green. "So, I'm realizing we're lit up like a beacon in the night." Pete said.
"Yeah." Luke followed.
"Get your winks while you can 'cause we're going fishing at first light." Pete told us. "A couple of fresh brookies for dinner? Wouldn't that be nice."
Luke got up and left the room. Pete looked at us and smiled. "Again, I'm sorry son." Pete said to me.
"Tell the others its fine too. I don't need you guys to overflow me with sorry." I said to Pete. He nodded and left the room. Then the pregnant lady, Rebecca, stepped in. "Your still here." She said. "I wouldn't get comfortable, if I were you two. You may have fooled everyone else, but not me."
We both stopped eating. "I'm just a little girl and I needed some help." Clem said.
Rebecca walked to us. "You can't pull shit on me. I'm not my husband. And you got your help. Now go." Rebecca told us.
"Well lady, if you're gonna be like that, whose baby is it?" I shot, having my body facing her completely as I crossed my legs. "If its not Alvin's, then whose is it?"
"You shit your fucking mouth." She spat.
"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone." I sneered. Rebecca left the kitchen as we finished our food.

The reason i referred to what they were eating as "food" is because i can't tell if it's cereal or oatmeal or something else.
