Meereen

Meereen has become under the full control of the Targaryens. The power of the Masters has been broken with the fall, but they are still an influential group in the city. Jaehaerys and Daenerys have made themselves at home in the Great Pyramid. Even in the days that they took for the city to calm down and to organise their new seat of power, they hadn't had enough time to explore every floor and chamber. Jaehaerys did wish to see more of it and find any worthwhile items to keep. Although, most of it has been rather unimpressive to him.

It is now that he walks back towards his quarters. At first, it was not obvious that Daenerys was pregnant. Perhaps there were signs, but now it has become obvious that her belly grew. Her breast was more sensitive than normal. And at times she was a bit tired. There was also a glow of sorts. Jaehaerys was almost not believing that she could be more beautiful but there she was... Glowing with happiness and beauty.

"Jaeh!" Dany says with a bright and happy voice.

Jaehaerys enters their bedchamber and he saw her laying on the bed. Both hands were gently caressing her belly. He has seen her doing those motions very often. Every time it brought a smile to his face. Not only was he filled with his own happiness, but the change was most profound in Dany. Like her, we're scrubbed clean and made room for other things.

"How is my Queen of Love and Beauty doing?"

"I am very well. But a little bit nervous. It's our first day to receive supplicants. Our first test is to see whether we will be able to make the right decisions."

"Very true. Although, that's not what I meant. How are you feeling?"

"All is well, nothing feels wrong. I think you were right. My body just was healing from... whatever the witch did. Our child is fine, my love. I just know it."

"That's all I need to hear," Jaehaerys says as she lays down next to her. One hand stroking over the growing belly that holds a new life. Whoever said that magic was gone from the world was a fool. Every day magic was in abundance as new life was born into the world. No stronger magic exists. "I visited the dragons this morning, by the way."

"How did we ever manage to get them to listen? For hundreds of years, they were gone and we managed? Seems almost too easy..." Dany softly says.

"Easy!?" Jaehaerys says with a burst of laughter, "I don't know about you, but I almost got burned three times! Never mind the close calls when they were biting at us. Taming was dangerous to me and anything but easy!"

"Right... Well, I suppose, you're right about that. Aegor still does as he likes at times. It's just a stroke of luck that Rhaellor and Rhaegal stick together and let Aegor be rowdy."

"Ugh, Aegor is an independent one. Still, you made good progress. We should find a place in the city for them to sleep and rest... Letting them fly around and nest anywhere they wish seems... A lot like inviting trouble."

Dany sighs but nods as she looks to the window, peering through it. The dragons were flying as they wish. There wasn't any indication they were dangerous. Sure, every now and then they let out a screech. And for periods they went out of the city to hunt. Nothing seems to be causing problems, but you never know.

"Perhaps we should make sure there is a Dragonpit in Meereen. Big enough so it is comfortable and cozy enough so they aren't getting agitated," Dany says in agreement but with a bit of reluctance about keeping them in one place.

"They'll be free to do as they wish for certain hours. Don't worry, they'll not grow fat and lazy," Jaehaerys chuckles placing a soft tender kiss on her cheek. Dany smiles and nods as she lets out a content breath.
