Old Ghiscari Road Towards Meereen

The libration continues after Yunkai. Three weeks they spent in Yunkai to restore order, organise a defence and militia to keep the order. It was difficult as the slaves were riled up and filled with vigour. When they left it was still smouldering, but they installed a good council. Hopefully, they will pull through. They could only hope. Now their cause is bringing them to Meereen.

"Jaehaerys, what's bothering you?" Daenerys asks.

"I know we have done what we can, but I wonder what happened to Astapor. It would tell us what could happen to Yunkai," He says with a sigh.

"We can send a few men down to Astapor to see how things are going. You're right. We need to know."

Jaehaerys nods as he turns to Jorah who rode next to him. The knights took formation around them. Jorah to their left, Baelor to their right, and Barristan behind them. The Targaryens couldn't be safer as they marched with their army. Even more so considering the thousands of men that marched along with them.

"Ser Jorah," Jaehaerys says, "Go to Daario. Tell him to send riders south and see how it fares with Astapor. Daenerys and I wish to know what is happening there. Whether things are going as we wish."

The knight nods as he guides his horse to Daario. Barristan took his place next to Jaehaerys soon enough. Daenerys lets out a breath as glanced at Jaehaerys.

"Jaeh? How long before we will come to a stop for a break?"

"We will stop in an hour, I think. Are you alright?"

"I am not the biggest fan of marching. And I am getting a little bit hungry."

"Alright, well, I suppose, I am a bit hungry as well. We can take a break a bit earlier if you like. Today we have made good progress already. The road has been kind so far," Jaehaerys says as he turns towards Missandei that rode behind them.

"Missandei? Could you inform Grey Worm we will rest in half an hour?" Missandei bowed her head as she went to Grey Worm. A small smile on her lips as she rode off.

"I hope things go well with Meereen too. We have done something unthinkable, Dany. Liberating Slaver's Bay. Not many can claim such a feat," Jaehaerys says as he turns to Daenerys.

"True, but it was mainly you that got us this far. I didn't do much if I am honest."

"What?" Jaehaerys says with a laugh, "You've done plenty, Dany. It was you that pushed us to do this. Let's not forget the dragon scheme. And the decision concerning Daario. Don't sell yourself short."

"I am pretty great," Dany says with a playful smirk.

"That you are!" Jaehaerys says with a laugh.

The army came to a halt as a temporary camp was set up to rest. Several large simple tents were built to provide shade while sentries patrolled. Daenerys and Jaehaerys were enjoying a stroll after they ate together. The coast provides a splendid view and calm sensation as the cool breeze of the sea wafts through the air. Daenerys took a deep breath as she glanced at her brother.

"Jaeh? Am I a bit worried," she says eventually.

"Worried about what?"

"Our... less than fruitful attempts at having a child. I am not sure if I can give you one," she continues, her voice trembling a bit as she spoke her mind. Jaehaerys' arm went around her waist to pull her into his embrace, Dany resisted at first, but gave in not much later without any real resistance.

"Dany, your mind must stay positive. I've been told that it helps with conceiving a child. Besides, we're still young. There is no shortage of time for us to try. Let us not worry about things we do not fully understand."
