"Jungkook? You are distracted. Tell us-- have you set your wedding date with Yoona?"

Jungkook quickly turned to look at Jeehul, he tried to answer, "Actually, dad--"

Yoona, however, quickly cut him off, "Actually, Mr. Jeon, it's been hectic the past days but we are very excited to set the date soon. We thought it'll be--"

"It'll be called off, dad." Jungkook said in a louder tone, which made the female Alpha's eyes widened.

Jungkook stood up and placed his phone in his pocket. Then he fixed his coat's buttons as he slightly bowed before his father, "I am calling off our engagement. I'm sorry dads, and to the Han's too - but I don't wish to marry your daughter. This has been an arrangement you made, which I agreed to beforehand as I had no choice."

"Jungkook!" Jeehul stood up, enraged, "Who told you that you have a choice now?! The only choice you have is it's either you give up being a Jeon, or you abide by this arrangement! Now that's not much of a choice, is it??"

Jungkook took a deep breath and said, "If that's the only choice, then I might just take on it."

"Jungkook!! What are you saying, son-" His biological father, Junshik, stood up and walked in front of him, "Don't tell your father that!"

Yoona's parents then stood up - her father calmly said, "Jeehul, we'll leave you to handle this for now. This has been going for so long, but your son still refuses to cooperate. There are other families we can make alliance with, we're not forcing--"

"But-- dad! I want no one else but Jungkook-oppa!" Yoona exclaimed.

"Let's go for now. We'll wait for this to be sorted out."

The Han family quickly left the VIP room, dragging Yoona with them with a bitter face. As soon as they exited the door, Jeehul slapped Jungkook's face with the back of his hand.

"Honey!!" Junshik shouted and held Jeehul's hand tight. "How dare you put your hand on my son!!! He's been doing his best for this family and for our company, he doesn't deserve this!!"

"Fuck that! Then what does he deserve?! He is an ungrateful bastard-- he must've taken after that Omega you fucked!!! You should've never brought him to this family!! See, he's the only one who will ruin the Jeon's reputation!!!" Jeehul shouted.

Junshik's eyes widened as he stared back at his husband, but he remained silent. He turned to check on Jungkook - his cheek was already red and his eyes were wet with tears.

"J-jungkook.."

"Y-you don't need to worry, dad. I won't taint your reputation anymore. Feel free to find a replacement for me. Because I can't do this anymore! I don't have a Jeon's blood anyways, right?! I should have walked away a long time ago!!!! M-maybe then.. maybe I wouldn't lose someone so important to me!!"

Jungkook's jaw clenched as he breathed in deeper before walking out of the room. He could still hear his father shouting in anger, "You are an ingrate bastard!!! Don't you fucking walk back here when you already have nothing!!!!"

But Junshik ran after Jungkook and caught up to him by the hallway, "Jungkook, please wait-- son, p-please! You can't leave like this! I will talk to your father. Just proceed with the marriage, and everything will be fine."

"Appa! Nothing is fine in this f-family!!" Jungkook answered with tears in his eyes, "I've been doing the best I can, but still-- I feel like I'm living in hell!! I-- I am in love with an O-omega. And he needs m-me. He and our child n-needs me.."

The old Alpha's eyes went wide, but he couldn't say anything as he knew how his son feels. Even him, himself, was feeling the same since he got married off to the Jeon family. But he's already used to the hell they were living at. And so he thought this is the last chance for him to correct his wrongs, especially to his son.
