"Here you go. It has mostly what you need - a single bed, small kitchen with sink, table, toilet, washing machine. There's just no dryer so you'll have to hang them dry right upfront - just make sure not to go beyond the other apartment's territory." An old lady said, as she opened a studio apartment for Jungkook.

The Alpha looked at the small space, still all dusty and dirty - the bulbs were flickering as they were turned on and spider webs hanging just in every corner.

Jungkook slightly smiled and said, "Can I borrow your vacuum perhaps?!"

"Vacuum?!" The old woman went out for a while and returned with a broom and dustpan, "Here. It's all we have. Now-- are you taking the space?"

Jungkook just nodded.

"Great. You'll have to make a one-month deposit and a month of advance rent too." The Alpha then took his wallet and pulled out some cash to give to her.

"Thank you." Jungkook said to the landlady, who was smiling back at him. "Thank you too. Just come to me if you need anything else. I'll leave you for now."

When the door closed, Jungkook then let out a deep sigh and placed his bag down as he looked around more, figuring where he needed to start cleaning.

It took him the whole day, after leaving Jin's house, looking for a cheaper place to stay. He knows he has limited savings, and all his credit cards were cut off already. Therefore, he needs to be wiser when selecting a temporary home near Jin.

Suddenly, his stomach began to growl, "Oh- yeah, I haven't eaten yet." Jungkook muttered with a sigh. So he stepped out to find a place where he can have his dinner.

Jungkook was slurping on his noodles when his phone rang for a video call. He answered it and placed it in front of him while he continued with his food.

"Oh wow, instant cup ramen for dinner?! Where are you? At a convenience store?!"

"Why are you calling, Hoseok?" Jungkook ignored his questions and just asked while he was chewing. He heard a sigh from the call so he looked at the screen.

"I'm gonna ask my grandma there to send you proper food and side dishes. Where are you staying? Did you check in to a motel or something?!"

"There's no need to bother your grandma. I'm good with this, but thank you. And yeah, I found a small studio apartment. That'll do for the meantime."

"Okay, if you say you're good with instant ramen and canned kimchi, then fine. But-- well, I assume you've already found Jin there, as you seem to be settling down there for a while."

"Yes. As I guessed, he's with his parents. When Chim said that he dropped him off at a train station, I knew he was going back to Busan."

"And?! Did he talk to you?"

"We talked. But-- he needs time to think." Jungkook muttered. Then he placed his chopsticks down and gulped his bottled water.

"Oh-- okay. I knew it's not gonna be easy after everything. Uhm- well, here is a bit quiet now. However, Tae kept on annoying Chim - asking where Jin was. Aside from that, I'm not aware of anything else. Your company seems to be good at keeping from the board that you left."

Jungkook sighed, "I know dad is capable of anything. He can handle that. As for Tae-- I'll deal with him later on if I come across him. For now, I'd like to be here for Jin. It's the most important."
