9. Surprise Visit

Jungkook slowly took a sip from the second cup of tea he ordered from the restaurant. As he placed it back down on the table, he looked around a bit before letting out a sigh as he glanced at his watch.

"Kookie-oppa? Are you waiting for something? Or maybe someone?!" Yoona asked with an eyebrow raised. "Because we have finished our meals an hour ago. Shouldn't we leave? You said you need to go back to the office right away?"

"Don't call me that. It's Jungkook!" He gritted his teeth in annoyance but sighed, "My head is aching. I'm just letting it pass before I go back to the office. I have no tea there, so I want to have it here. If you want to leave now, then you can go ahead."

Yoona scoffed, "Wha- you are unbelievable! You made me sit here, not a damn word - without even asking me how I am-- then you'll just send me away like that?!"

Jungkook looked at Yoona with a blank face, he was about to say something when he heard voices from the corner aisle he's been eyeing - he quickly said, "Alright, let's go. My headache is better."

Yoona furrowed her eyebrows- so baffled at her fiance's mood switch. When she stood up, she saw Taehyung and Jin - chatting while making their way out. She then let out a deep sigh and just followed behind Jungkook.

"Sorry Jin, I can't drive you home. They still need me in the kitchen. I just got you a cab, please text me when you get home." Taehyung said.

Jin then shook his head, "No- it's really fine. It's still early, it's actually okay for me to take the bus, you know." He smiled, then his eyes went wide when he saw Jungkook, with Yoona, walking alongside them.

"Ooh- Kookie! I thought you already left."

"Uhm- he doesn't like being called Koo-"

"We had tea and dessert, so we're leaving just now. How's your dessert?!" Jungkook quickly said, cutting off Yoona's words.

Jin bit his bottom lip to think of what to say, "Ah- well, I forgot to get my dessert. Because we've been-- uhm.."

"We've been busy." Taehyung said, pulling Jin to his other side away from Jungkook. The latter raised an eyebrow as he asked, "Busy?!"

"Busy talking." Jin let out a small laugh.

Then Taehyung turned to look at Jin, "I promise I'll bring you a chocolate cake soon when I visit you in your apartment, hmm?"

"Huh? Uhm-"

Jin couldn't let out any word, his eyes moved from Taehyung to Jungkook- the latter was just staring at them intently. He couldn't really tell what the Alpha was thinking at the moment given those stares.

"Uhh okay." Jin muttered.

"There's the cab for you, Jin."

"Ah right. Thanks for the great lunch, Tae. Thank you too, Kookie. And it's nice to meet you, Yoona-ssi. Bye!"

Yoona just smiled and bowed a little, while Jungkook did not react at all.

Jin was about to walk away but Taehyung grabbed his arm and pulled him closer to him. Then he took off his scarf and wrapped it around Jin's neck. Their faces were just inches apart which flustered Jin in an instant.

"You should wear a scarf when you go out these days, hmm? It's getting colder. Take care, I'll see you again soon."

Jin was blushing, but he smiled and thanked Taehyung in a whisper, "Thanks for being too caring. I appreciate it. See you, Tae."
