I knew something was up when he asked me to stay over at Kareem's place because he would never willingly allow me to do that. I parked the car and got out. I walked up to the front door and opened it with my key before going on. I heard my phone vibrating and pulled it out to see Niko calling. I wasn't going to answer but I knew he would get on my case if I didn't pick up and I couldn't deal with that right now.
"Yes Niko."
"Why dis a show seh yuh deh a di house?"
"Because I am at the house." I put my purse on the entryway table and walked in the direction of the living room.
"Yuh nuh supposed to deh a di house Sienna, mi hate tell yuh fi duh a ting an yuh wah ave yuh own way." He was definitely hiding something or up to something that he didn't want me to know about. "Leave now."
"So tell me what is going on?"
"Just gwaan back ova Kareem house an mi aguh forward later suh wi can talk."
"Lila please just listen to your brother for once?" I heard Emma saying in the background and that was further proof that he wasn't telling me something.
"Weh mi aguh duh wid yuh Sienna? Anything yuh si, mi hope yuh can deal wid it pan yuh own cause yuh fi listen."
"Babe don't tell her that."
"Den wah mi fi seh Emma? Tek dis from mi yah man cause mi nuh know how dah likkle pickney yah stubborn suh."
"Babe calm down and Sienna please just get back in your car then drive to Kareem's place, we'll come over and talk to you later." I didn't want to hear that but I felt like in that moment, I should listen to them but the voice I heard next made me realize that it was too late to turn back around now.
"Is that?" I turned around and came face to face with both my parents who for a long time I thought were dead but here they were, in the flesh and they might as well have been dead.
"Oh, Emwah look at our baby girl. She's all grown up and so beautiful."
"Sienna baby?" I couldn't hear anything after that moment because all I could hear was ringing in my ears and the thought that they didn't want me replaying itself in my head until all I could see was darkness.

I was woken up up in a dimly lit room with a beeping sound and it was so annoying.

"Babe, she's awake." I opened my eyes and looked around to see Emma by my bedside, I was in a hospital but they knew how much I hated hospitals. I sat up and looked around the rest of the room to see Niko who was coming towards my bed but the room was empty other than them. "Easy there Lila, you scared us."
