I put the plate infront of him and cut my eyes past him before turning back around to go get Iana her plate too. Dajah wasn't home yet so it was just the three of us and I didn't know how late she was going to be out.
"Thanks for dinner." I didn't acknowledge him because I was still upset and we haven't talked in days.
"Yeah, thanks for dinner too." I gave her a big smile and he shook his head.
"You're welcome sweetie."
"Suh yuh really a gimme di silent treatment?"
"Breeze mi nuh sir." I kissed my teeth and poured some juice for the both of them.
"Thanks." I left the kitchen and went into the living room to watch TV. I knew I needed to talk to him because I couldn't sleep at nights without him but I was still mad about the entire situation.
My phone started ringing and I searched for it under the pillows on the couch until I found it. I checked the caller ID to see that it was a number I didn't know which I wasn't going to answer but I didn't know if it was someone I knew that was trying to get to me.
"Hello." The person said when I answered and it sounded like a woman. "Is this um......." She trailed off for a few seconds before she spoke again. "Sienna Reynolds?" I took the phone from my ear to look at the number again before putting the phone back to my ear.
"Depends on who is asking."
"My name is Selena Reynolds." Was I related to her? Was she a sister of my father or perhaps a cousin? My curiosity was definitely peaked now. "I am your mother."
"What?" I asked in shock because I didn't think I was hearing correctly but why would someone need to play a prank like that on me.

"Yes, your brother Semaj." I looked at the number again and put the phone back to my ear because only a few people knew that Niko's real name was Semaj Reynolds. "I would really love to see my kids in person but I understand if you don't want to come and see me."
"I feel like you're pranking me but I'll come meet you and it has to be somewhere open where there are alot of people."
"Thank you so much." I could hear her voice break a little and if she was lying then she was damn good liar.

"Okay, I'll message you a time and place to meet me so be on the lookout." I knew that this was too good to be true but it would explain alot about how Daina treated us like she did.
