"Chen, ang tagal mo! Ang tanga ni Gayle kanina, may kandila 'yung cake na hinanda para kay Lavin!"

Caspian shared laughing as he walks towards Gretchen and kiss her right hand. Woah? Maginoong chinito?

All the boys stand up to greet Gretchen. Mas lalong kumunot ang noo ko. Bakit nandito si Gretchen at bakit kilala niya ang mga lalaking 'to?

"Paul told me to put it, he is even the one who lights the candle," Lawrence pouted.

His body looks manly yet I found out today that he's innocent, or childish.

"Gago, I was just kidding!" Paul laughed.

"Wawa naman ang baby Lawrence namin," Charles added.

Palipat-lipat lang tingin ko sa kanilang lahat. I even saw Zhyne roll his eyes at the boys.

"Lagi niyo nalang inaaway ang bunso natin. Ang sasama ng ugali niyo!" Gretchen spoke up.

I breathed deeply and stand up from where I was seated which made them look at me. I can't take it anymore. I think my mind will explode at any moment due to confusion.

"For the nth time, I will ask you all again," seryosong tanong ko habang tinitignan ko sila.

I hate this feeling, it feels like I was left in the dark, again.

I saw Caspian and Gayle gulp but I ignored it. I even saw Charles hide in the back of Zhyne. Para silang tuta na nakakita ng malaking pusa.

"Why am I here? Why are you all here?" I seriously asked.

"Relax, Bela. Can we talk about it later? Please, I'm so famished," she answered now acting cute.

I'm not used to this. I'm not used to the way she acts. I had always known her as Gretchen, the bitch one. Why is she acting so kind today?

"Ako rin, sissy. Kanina pa kami hindi nakain kasi busy sa paghahanda nito," sabi ni Paul habang nginuso ang misa.

"Fine," I surrendered and seat back in my chair.

They all smiled and sit in the available chairs.

Nag-uusap silang lahat habang kumakain, they look so close. Even Gretchen, she talks a lot and laughs with them which is all new to me. Sinasali naman nila ako sa usapan at sinasagot ko nalang ito agad at hindi na pinapahaba.

I've noticed that Zhyne is the silent one, Caspian is the most talkative, Lawrence is the innocent, Paul loves to annoy any of them, and Charles is playful. While Gretchen, she's smiling which is new to me.

When we finish eating, Charles hand me a bowl with folded papers inside it.

"Kuha ka ng dalawang papel, Lavin," he said, everyone looks so thrilled.

Nalilito ko siyang tinitignan.

“Sa'yo nakasalalay ang buhay namin, Lavin,” said Caspian dramatically. My forehead creased, hawak ko ba buhay nila?

"May nakasulat na pangalan 'yang mga papel na naka tiklop. The first name you'll get, he/she's the one who'll clean the table, and the second one will be the one who'll wash the dishes," Charles explained.

Nilingon ko ang mga matang nakatingin sa'kin, nakasaklop ang dalawang kamay ni Paul. Caspian and Gretchen are holding their hands, while Lawrence is now mumbling his prayer. Zhyne on the other hand was doing a sign of a cross.

I can't take it anymore kaya tumawa ako. They all look so funny, what's wrong with cleaning the table and washing the dishes? Para silang natatae na ewan.
