Emery's POV
9 months later (may)

i've never been a big fan of the rain. i didn't get the appealing aspects of the smell of wet dogs, cleaning up muddy foot prints, the nauseating traffic a little water caused. i was never a big fan of the rain.

that's until i met billie. now i find peace in the rain, it makes me think of her, it makes me smile thinking about her smile.

now i've learned to dance in the rain, and not mind the muddy paw prints. i've learned that the rain isn't too bad; that the traffic gives you time to sing a song just a little longer together in the car.

i enjoy the rain. i think the rain is romantic, the way it shoves people closer together trying not to get wet. like bil and i.

today we explore the grounds of the O2 arena in london. although more of the exploring is done on my part as i've never left the country before this.

london is a beautiful city, but today it makes me hate the rain. as billie and i walk hand in hand on this peninsula, i find it hard to see through the fog. although i still smile and nod as she points out different things nearby.

and while i'd usually tell her of my new symptoms, i figured today it'd be better not to. it's her first show of this tour and i don't want her worrying before i talk with my doctor.

later that day, claudia and i sat in the green room as we still had some time before the show started.

"earth to emery" claudia said when i finally realized her.

"you okay? you've been super quiet, did something happen?"

i looked up at her with an unreadable expression, "my vision, i feel like it's going so much faster than i can even process."

she reached her hand out to hold mine for comfort, "have you talked to your doctor about it?"

"no, only because there's not much he can do, i'd rather finish off these last few shows with bil." i replied.

"okay, well i'm always here if you need me," claudia told me.

"thank you london, get home safe and goodnight!!" billie yelled into the microphone before running off to the side of the stage.

she lifted me a few inches off the ground and spun, "you were amazing, my love" i told her as she set me on the ground.

"thank you mama," she replied and gave me a quick kiss.
