"Tumi, Tyanna!" Tormund demanded. Caro watched two little red heads run up hugging Tormund and her heart ached. "I want you to meet someone." They stared back at Caro, eyes wide as everyone was piling onto the boats.
"Move it."
"Move 'em along, now."
"Cast-off time. That's it, come on." the commanders shouted as people were boarded onto the boats to leave their home and hopefully start a new.
"Nice to meet you." Caro said kneeling before them in the snow.
"I'm Tumi."
"And I'm Tya."
"Are we leaving daddy?" Tumi questioned.
"Yes, we are going on an adventure." Tormund agreed. "And I want you to go with Caro."
"I'm not leaving Jon." Caro corrected.
"Are we leaving for good?" Tyanna countered.
"Seems so." Tormund agreed.
"I need my dolly!" Tumi shouted running back to her hut.
"I got her." Tyanna declared chasing after her little sister.
"I"m not leaving Jon." Caro repeated. Tormund smiled back at her as he moved to Jon.
"How many are with us?"
"5,000?" Tormund questioned. "I'm not good at counting." Tormund looked around anxiously. "We're leaving too many behind."
"The free folk are stubborn." Jon remarked having tried to get them all to come.
"No really?" Caro mused. "Just like us northerners I suppose."
"You know how long it took Mance to band them together?" Tormund laughed out. "20 fucking years. And he knew them better than I ever will." Tormund declared. "They're running out of food and there's nothing to hunt. They'll come around." Tormund assured.
"Get yourselves ready." Jon instructed and he heard an echoed Aye in response.
"Johnna is gonna look after you. She's in charge. You listen to her." A mother was telling her daughter as she was placed in the boat.
"Take her. There you are." she smiled softly not knowing if she would ever see her daughter again.
"I want to go with you." her daughter screamed out.
"I need to get the old folks on the boats." a commander countered.
"I'm right behind you. I promise." she watched as her daughter set off.
"Another one!"
"Keep moving. We'll meet you out there."
"Won't be able to take that on the boat. It's too big."
"That's the last one! Three more! Move on!" Everyones panic filled voices were overlapped as they tried to get out.
The wildlings had some dragonglass weapons. Tormund noticed Jon looking around.
"There's more dragonglass everywhere."
"I've got some more daggers over here." Tormund remarked. Jon looked to the daggers. "Put that dagger in his bag."
The gates were sealed as the boats took off. Jon and tormund stared at the peoples screamed died out before the army of the dead started breaking through.
"Auntie get on that boat." Jon begged.
"Like hell. Im not leaving you." Caro corrected. It was mass chaos as the walkers climbed over the walls. Archers let loose as heads and arms pierced through the wood.
"Get them back take the ships then come back." jon demanded.
"NOT HAPPENING!" Caro declared. "I'm not leaving you. Not again."
"Duncan, hold the line! Hold the line!" Jon demanded as they prepared for the worst.
"Lord Commander!"
"Get them to the ship and come back for me!" Jon demanded.
"But you'll never make--"
"Now!" Jon demanded pointing a commanding finger at the waters.
"Let me on! Let me on! Bloody fucking move!" The people tried to pile onto the last boats, pulling it down as they tried to get away from the incoming danger.
"They're gonna let them pass the Wall even if you're not there?" Tormund countered.
"You have my word. I've given orders." Jon agreed.
"Don't think you're gonna be there to enforce those orders." Tormund reminded him. "If they get through, everyone dies." Tormund remarked as the banging got louder and everyone readied their blades.
"Auntie Caro go!" Jon demanded. "Be the commander in my stead. Make sure they-"
"Im not leaving you." Caro shouted back.
"Yes you are." Jon demanded. "Save them." He begged. "Make sure they get in."
"Take care of my girls Caro." Tormund begged.
"Take care of my jon." Caro demanded.
"Auntie I love-"
"Don't! You tell me when your back and safe." Caro whimpered. "But I love you honey."
"Go with Caro. She will keep you safe." Tormund instructed. Tumi held her doll tightly to her chest.
"Hell," Caro muttered looking to Jon. "Dont die. Thats an order." she said hugging jon quickly she locked eyes with Tormund before she was dragged onto the last boat. She plopped Tormunds girls into the boat as she got on.
"You should be on one of those boats." Jon remarked.
"So should you. My little girls got on, Caro will keep them safe." Tormund remarked glancing back at them.
"Night's Watch, with me! Move! Move! Move!"
She watched as they got smaller and smaller but the screams still echoed louder and louder. She felt hot tears running down frozen cheeks as she expected the worst but prayed fort he best. Meanwhile jon battled against the commander in the night kings army. He found that velaryian steel could kill a walker too not just dragon glass.
