A FEW CHAIRS were stacked against a wall, near the large windows. On the other side of the room, a large wood wall seemed to separate the room in half. Kaori slowly walked until she was in front of it, trying to see if she could push it but it was too heavy and would not budge.

She grunted annoyingly right when the door was swung open, Kaori quickly stepped back, pretending she was simply looking out the window before finally gazing at the people walking inside.

A man with sunglasses wearing a colorful robe with a bathing suit walked in first, followed by Aguni. Behind him, a woman wearing sunglasses as well, what's with the sunglasses? We're inside, it's totally useless. Another woman with the creepiest smile she had ever seen, a man with a stern look plastered on his face and, lastly, Kaori had to refrain a smirk when she recognized Chishiya calmly walking until he was next to the others.

Of course, he'd be a part of the executive members. He looks like the silent sidekick who manipulates everyone to do what he wants.

The man with the sunglasses clapped, "Come on, pull out a chair for our newest recruit, we don't wanna make her feel unwelcomed, do we?"

To Kaori's surprise, Chishiya was the one to react, casually walking to the other side of the room, pulling out a chair that he placed behind Kaori before shamelessly locking eyes with her, a grin flashing on his lips before he made his way back to the other members.

Can he stop looking at me like that? 'Cause I really don't like what it does to me.

Kaori sat down right when the man spoke again, "Well, we're all here because Aguni says you might be a very good asset to the Beach."

Kaori's face darkened at the word asset. She was not about to become a pawn to a bunch of people who would most certainly sacrifice her without a second thought, "What's the point of this place?"

"Straight to the point, I like it," he hummed in satisfaction, "The Beach is an utopia... A place where people can be whoever they want to be because... they all serve the same purpose!"

Is he high? Oh god, is he supposed to be the leader of this place? Cause he looks ridiculous right now. I don't care about his utopia, I just want to go back to how things were before!

"To go back home," he added, dramatically opening his arms as Aguni pushed the wood wall behind him, revealing another large room with cards drawn over the other wall.

Each row represented a certain card type, going from the easiest card, the Ace, to what was supposed to be the hardest, the King. A lot of them had a cross over them, Kaori assuming that these games had been cleared.

Okay, it kinda makes sense that winning all the games is the key to going home but... what about all the people not at The Beach?

"And how do you know winning all the games will bring us home?" Kaori asked.
