"YOU'RE CREEPY when you do that."
Chishiya blinked, looking away from the pool area to focus on the person who had just called him a creep. Kuina.
"Ask her out instead of burning holes in her body with your eyes," she added, "I know she can feel you staring."
Chishiya stayed silent, watching Kuina with a deadpan expression. But she was used to it and did not feel discouraged to the least, "It's okay to have a crush, you know? I won't tell anyone you have a heart."
"Are you done talking?"
Kuina smirked, pride invading her chest at the thought of a flustered Chishiya and she rose to her feet, "Hey, Kaori!"
The brunette turned around, her eyes falling to Kuina and Chishiya sitting on deck chairs a few feet away. Kuina was waving, "Come here!"
Kaori debated sitting with them for a moment, knowing it would be best for her to stay away from Chishiya for a multitude of reasons.
First, she had to remain on Aguni's good side. And Chishiya wasn't particularly liked by the militants so engaging with him was probably not the best thing.
And second, she didn't know if she could stay near him with all the staring. I don't know why he stares at me so much.Like, he's either obsessed with me and that's crazy creepy or... he's caught onto the fact that I find him good-looking and he's using that to make me think he feels the same about me so I start trusting him.
If it's the second option, he's a sociopath... Ugh, fuck, why did he have to look good?
But Kaori was done being by herself and Kuina was genuinely sweet. I can just ignore him.
She finished her cup of coffee and abandoned it on the table with the empty coffee pot, sitting next to Kuina.
"Tell me, Kaori, I've been curious." Kuina said, "Do you have a boyfriend? Or... girlfriend?"
Kaori's eyes twitched, her face contorting into a grimace, "Uh... no? Why?"
"I don't know," she shrugged, "I haven't seen you getting it going with someone so... I was wondering."
Okay, that's a weird question. I barely know her and now I feel exposed. "Why? Wanna go out or something?"
Kuina's eyes popped open but Kaori had her eyes on Chishiya now. He was smirking, observing Kuina's reddening cheeks with satisfaction. It was fun to watch.
Kaori's eyes were still locked on Chishiya, "What about you? Are you dating someone?"
Chishiya's amused expression transformed into an intense stare, "No, why?"
