Payal thought for a while and said " Are you really a rebellion against East Indian Company"?
Veer said yes proudly.

" did you ever heard about Saugandhpur's colonel?" She asked.
" why won't I, I heard everything his atrocities against villagers, his taxes collecting methods and his tortures and punishments everything" he replied.

" at present my team's target is someone else, perhaps I will surely target that Burton oneday" he said, to which she replied " I'm his wife"

Veer went silent in shock, Currently many thoughts are running in Payal's mind.
" will he kill me with his dagger? Or he think me as a bait who is helping Britishers in catching him??, oh God help me" thought Payal.

" so that is you, whom Burton married killing your family?" Said Veer, Payal's eyes filled with tears, as everything played in her mind.
" I thought you misunderstand me" she said.
" why would I? I already said I know everything about him then how come I don't know how he married an Indian girl killing her family" he said.

" then you escaped from him, right?" He asked, she nodded her head in yes.
" his guards are searching me as well, a few days back me and my friend attacked and killed some of his guards when they are torturing a farmer and his family" said Veer.

" so that's why, when I was escaping there are guards everywhere" thought Payal.

" you belong to Saugandhpur?" She asked, to which he said " yes, but for now I am staying in this forest because they captured my friend when we are escaping from guards, I need to save him"

Silence filled the air around them.

" so what is your next step?" He asked breaking silence, " I don't know, I escaped from him but he won't leave me he will surely search for me" she replied looking at fire.
" if you have no objection then come with me, I will leave you at an ashram, which is running by  widow women who make lamps and other necessary items out of soil and clay and sell them, where you can stay until you decide what to do next" Veer said tying his turban around his head.

" but if he find me there, he will kill those innocent women for giving shelter to me" Payal said sadly.
" you think I will leave him alive till then?" Veer Chuckled.

Scene shifts:

Burton followed blood drops and reached river area.
" no blood marks from here" he thought.

He looked here and there in the darkness, "where should I find you my lady, I'm sorry please return to me" He cried, he felt thirsty and went to river to drink water, but his eyes fell on the anklet lying there.
He took it into his hands and observed it only to remember it being belonged to his wife.

Without thinking further he jumped into river and started searching Payal.
He kept searching but his attempts are filled, soon his guards reached him.

" did you find her anywhere?" He asked, they lowered their heads.

" go, follow this river and search in every village surrounding this river now, if you come without my wife I will behead you all" he shouted.

His guards shivered in fear hearing his tone and followed his order asap.

" I don't want to leave Any chance, I will search this entire forest myself what if she is still here" he thought and walked into deeper parts of forest.

" if you decided to come with me then we have to leave now, because it will take some time for us to cross this forest, we are in deep forest" Veer said.
Payal is thinking " don't overthink, this is your chance, he is helping you, grab this opportunity go away from that Burton, what left for you in this Saugandhpur, he snatched your life from you, you're just his puppet now, if you still live with him he will surely destroy you completely.... because don't you remember how you attacked him, will he leave you after what you did to him, he won't kill you but he will torture you, go live your life..... your new life is waiting for you, you are decided to die perhaps now you have a chance to live your life with respect accept it and go, this is your luck, don't miss it" her inner sense encouraged her.

" I will accept your help" she said, he smiled widely and said " I promise no one will bother you there"
Payal gave a smile to him.
He forwarded his hand to her, she took it and stood up.

" Let's go" he said, she nodded and they started to walk.

Burton is walking carefully not making any sound but suddenly he felt someone is observing his every move.
He turned back but find nothing, as he walked forward he heard leafs crushing sound, he got alerted.

" won't you save your friend?" Payal asked walking carefully, " I will return once I leave you at ashram" he replied.

Burton gripped his pistol more tightly, and turned back only to find two shiny orbs staring at him in that darkness.
Soon a wolf slowly started to appear from behind the bushes,
Without wasting time he aimed his pistol and shot that wolf even before it attack him.

Hearing pistol sound both Veer and Payal got alerted and stopped in their tracks.
" it is him..." Payal Gasped in fear.
" we have to go fast, I can't let him find us" Veer said and grabbed Payal arm and started running.
