Burton is sleeping beside Payal holding her hand, she is moving her eyes, struggling to open them. She is feeling exhausted, her eyes and lips are swollen and pale.
She opened her eyes and blinked a few times adjusting to the morning light, she looked around the room and her eyes landed on Burton, she moved her hand put of his grip, he got disturbed by the moment and woken up.
He yawned and sat up stretching his arms out, but his hands remained in air when he saw Payal, looking at him.
" my lady...you awake. Are you fine! Do you need anything." He blabbered at once with immense happiness. She tried to sat up, but he stopped her and called for the doctor.
" hey doctor where are you, come fast!" He shouted and immediately doctor came there running.
" check my wife" he ordered, while his eyes are guled at her direction. Doctor checked her, Payal is looking like she is lost somewhere. She didn't speak when doctor asked her something.
Burton got worried and moved to her, " my lady, are you feeling okay" He said caressing her cheek, she flinched and moved away. She tried to sat up, he helped her but she removed his hands from her and slightly pushed him away.
" you look different, what are you doing here? Why I'm here?" Payal said looking at him with fear and surprise at a time. Burton didn't understand what she said, and he glared at doctor who is equally in fear. Before Burton can do anything, she speak, " why I'm feeling empty" Doctor asked her, " look dear, tell me your name and do you know him?"
Payal looked at doctor for a second and said, " no I don't know him and I don't even remember my name, I'm feeling like my head is spinning from the moment I wake up" she replied making the doctor step back in terror.
" will you tell me, what happened or else should I assign my whip" Burton warned him out of patience. Doctor doesn't know what he should say, he very well knows if he says Payal's condition, Burton will definitely behead him. Perhaps collecting his courage he speak, " sire.. looks like madam forget everything about her"
Burton immediately pinned Doctor's hand to his back and shouted, " have you gone insane, do you understand what you are saying?" His eyes became red in rage, while doctor is wincing in pain.
Payal eyes became wide by witnessing everything that is occurring infront of her. " leave him" she speak, Burton looked at her and his eyes softened and he pushed doctor away.
