I can't express how much elated I'm now,

Payal and Veer are running to cross the forest, while Burton after killing the wolf, perhaps because of destiny unknowingly he too started walking towards the direction where both Payal and Veer are going.

As Veer is running Payal is indulged in thoughts and slipped due to mud.

" aahh!" Payal Gasped and her voice echoed.

As Burton is walking he heard some voice he got alerted and started walking towards that direction.

" Get up, we have to go" Veer said helping Payal, but she is unable to move as her ankle got sprained.
" I can't move an inch, it's really paining" Payal cried, Veer can understand her plight. He examined her ankle and tried to set it but she yelped in pain, she felt to shout so she muffled her mouth not to shout.
He said " We must go otherwise he will find us, please get up"
Payal tried to stand but she can't.
Veer decided to carry her in his arms, and he tried to lift her but she denied and said " please you can't run fast carrying me, I think you should leave"

Veer got shocked hearing her and said " Are you out of your mind, I won't leave you, I can run carrying you, let's go", he tried to lift her, " I said please go" she said.

As they are still arguing, they heard bushes rustling and leafs crushing sound.
Both became tensed, " it can be an animal, let'smove quick" he said, " what if it is he?" Payal said, to increase fear in them " My lady I'm coming" is heard from distance.

" it's him!!" Payal said shivering in fear.
Veer not even talking another word lifted Payal and started to run from there.
Burton got alert by hearing some sounds and started to move quick clearing bushes which is blocking his way.

Veer is panting but he didn't stop to run, " please leave me to my fate, he will kill you, please you have responsibilities, you have to save your friend and serve our country, please listen to me" Payal said but Veer is not paying heed  neither to her nor to the injury on his arm.

" you are a rebellion, if you are saved then you can save and change so many lives, try to understand, please leave me if you run like this he will surely catch us, it will be better if he find only me rather than us" Payal said but Veer kept running like that.

Burton reached to the area where Payal slipped, he examined the mud and find foot steps from there without thinking for a second he followed them.

" stop, it's a swear on our motherland" Payal yelled, which made Veer to halt at once.

He stared at her in shock, " you heard it right, you have to run from here leaving me, it's  a swear on our motherland" Payal said sternly looking in his eyes.

" you can't do this, you can't destroy your life, don't you know what will happen if he find you, don't you understand what might occur if once he re-enter your life" Veer said with red eyes controlling his bubbling agony.
" I know but it is more important to make sure rebellions like you are safe, it's important than my life" Payal said proudly.
They both kept looking in each other's eyes for a while.

Veer inhaled deeply and made Payal stand, unable to stand she sat on the ground holding her ankle.
While blood drops from his wound is falling beside her.

Veer rubbing his blood on his palm and said looking into Payal's teary eyes " I swear on my blood I will return for you"
He held her hands and assured her, she nodded her head in yes and said " go he is nearing go", looking at her for last time he vanished into forest.
Payal can hear foot steps approaching her, she is crying imagining about her fate.

" I know she is here, I can sense her presence, wait my lady I'm coming for you" Burton thought increasing his pace while clearing  every obstacles on his way.
To his happiness sun rays are slowly appearing making his way slightly visible.

He reached the spot and find Payal lying there unconscious.
" my love" He shouted out of happiness, and ran to Payal and kneeled beside her.
He tried to wake her up.
He hugged her and said " finally I found you! no one can separate us, I love you so much, no one can harm you, I came for you look, I swear I will make things right, trust me I love you ", He stared at her and find injuries on her, her face is smeared with mud, he wiped it with his hand and kissed on her forehead.
He lifted unconscious her and started to walk back to his haveli.

Veer is watching everything with his red eyes from the top of a tree.
" I won't leave you Burton, I will surely teach you a lesson" he thought gritting his teeth" and sun raised completely behind him, making his shadow fall on the ground.
