Kami berkumpul dan membahas apa yang harus kita lakukan.

" To be honest, our troops numbers even less than their cavalry " Ujar Susan kepada kami.

" Aslan is our only hope. I saw Aslan in the woods, i'm sure it's really him. If you allow me, i will look for him and ask him for help " jelas Lucy kepada ku dan Peter.

Aku dan Peter saling bertatap, karna memang itu satu-satunya harapan yang kami punya.

" That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the darkest parts of the forest? Alone! " Tegas Trumpkin kepada aku dan Peter.

" It's our only chance... " jawab Peter dengan tenang.

" I don't like this plan either... But, there's's no other way. I need everyone here to hold off Telmarines, at least until Lucy meets Aslan. If there is another way maybe we wil do it. " Jelas Peter kepada semua orang diruangan.

" That's right, we need to hold them off until Lucy get back " ujar ku.

" If i may... " ujar Caspian kepada Peter dan aku, kami mengangguk mempersilahkan nya berbicara.

" Miraz maybe a tyrant and a murderer. But as king, he is subject to the traditions. And expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy us some time. So, one of us can go with Lucy... " ucap Caspian

Edmund, Glenstorm, dan Wimbleweather pun pergi ke markas Telmarine untuk membuat perundingan.

Edmund POV's

" I, Peter, by the gift of Aslan, by election and by conquest. High King of Narnia, Lord of Cair Paravel and Emperor of the Lone Islands.

In order to prevent the abominable effusion of blood, do hereby challenge the userper Miraz to single combat upon the field of battle.

The fight shall be to the death. The reward shall be total surrender " ucap ku sambil membaca surat yang dituliskan oleh Peter didepan Miraz dan Lord Telmarine lainnya.

Aku menggulung kembali kertas itu.

" Tell me, Prince Edmund..." ucap Miraz kepada ku, lalu ku potong.

" King. " ujarku singkat sambil menggulung kertas.

" Pardon me? " lanjutnya

" It's 'King Edmund' actually, just 'King', though. Peter's the High King. I know, it's confusing. " Jelas ku

" Why would we risk such a proposal, when our armies could wipe you out by nightfall? " tanya Miraz kepada ku

" Haven't you already underastimated our numbers? I mean, only a week ago narnians were extinct " jawabku kepadanya

" And so you will be again " lanjut nya.

" Then you should have little to fear " balasku dengan santai.

Miraz tertawa " Hahaha this is not a question of bravely "

" So... You bravely refusing to fight a swordman half your age? " ucapku sambil tersenyum

Miraz memajukan badannya kearah ku " I didn't say i refused "

" You have our support, your majesty. What ever your decision " ucap salah satu Lord.

" Tuan, keuntungan militer kita saja memiliki alasan sempurna untuk menghindar, apa yang.." ujar Lord yang lain

" I'm not avoiding anything! " Ucap Miraz sambil berdiri.

" Aku hanya menunjukkan bahwa tuanku memang berhak menolak..." lanjut Lord itu sambil menghadap jenderal Telmarine.

" His majesty would never refused... He relishes the chance to show the people the courage of their new King " jawab jenderal itu.

Miraz menatap ku dengan tajam.

" I accept this challenge. But, i want there to be an opening battle. And againts my general " ujar Miraz.

" Then your general will have a match with me " jawab ku sambil tersenyum.

" Is your position just below the High King? Because i want someone who is just below High King Peter to fight my general " ucap Miraz.

Senyum ku memudar seketika.

" No, under High King there was a High Queen. But, High Queen's physical condition was not allowing her to fight " jawab ku.

" My general fight your High Queen or we will choose war " ujar Miraz.

Sheeka POV's

Edmund sudah kembali ke markas kami dan menyampaikan pesan yang diinginkan Miraz.

" NO! I won't allow Sheeka to fight in this condition! If he chooses war. We give him a war he wants " tegas Peter setelah mendengar perkataan Edmund.

" I agree!, your majesty " ucap Reepicheep sambil mengeluarkan pedang kecilnya

" I have offered myself to replace Sheeka. But, he still wants Sheeka to fight his general " ujar Edmund.

Aku berdiri dan memutar pergelangan kaki ku.

" Glenstorm, send a message to Miraz. I accept the challenge from him " ujar ku sambil memberikan surat yang sudah kutulis sebagai tanda menerima tantangan.

" Your majesty?.. " Glenstorm meyakinkan ku. Aku mengangguk.

" No. You're not! " tegas Peter dan menatap ku. Aku menghela nafas. Yang lain meninggalkan aku, Peter, Edmund, Caspian dan Susan untuk berbicara.

" I'm tired of arguing with you, Pete. You all have to believe in me, there is no other way... Listen to me, if i refuse, they'll attack us this instant, Lucy can't find Aslan which means we won't get any extra help. And Narnia could be extinct.. " jelasku kepada mereka dengan perlahan.

Peter, Edmund, Caspian dan Susan menunduk sambil mendengarkan ku. Lucy sedang tidak disini dia bersiap untuk perjalanannya mencari Aslan.

" But, General Glozelle is better at fighting than Miraz " ucap Caspian kepadaku.

" You're serious?! " Tanya Susan terkaget. Caspian mengangguk.

" Don't forget, we are here to save Narnia from extinction... And maybe this is the right way " ujar ku kepada mereka.

" I think this is clear enough. I will get ready... " lanjutku sambil tersenyum dan keluar ruangan.

Aku pergi keruangan ku untuk bersiap-siap. Aku menggunakan armor perang ku seperti saat perang dengan White Witch.

" Sheeka? Where are you going? Why are you wearing armor war? Don't tell me you joined the war?! Your leg isn't healed yet! " Lucy datang kepada ku. Aku memasang gauntlet ku dan menguncir rambutku.

" Calm down, my leg are getting better, thanks to you " ucapku sambil menguncir rambutku. Tiba-tiba Susan datang menghampiri kami.

" Lu, ready to go? " tanya Susan sambil melihat kearahku. Aku meggeleng kepadanya. Menandakan aku belum memberi tahu Lucy bahwa aku akan battle dengan jenderal Telmarine. Karna jika dia tau, dia pasti tidak akan focus mencari Aslan.

" Ready! " ujar Lucy. Dia berlari dan memelukku.

" Please, be really careful " ucapku kepada Lucy dan Susan. Susan memelukku dan berbisik kepadaku.

" I should be the one talking to you like that " ujar Susan. Aku tertawa mendengarnya.
Lucy dan Susan pun pergi mencari Aslan.
