Mom was happy for me. Me and her both cried a little over the phone from missing each other. I know it's really hard on her for her daughter to be so far away...and it hurts her that I chose to stay with dad, but there's no room for me to permanently stay in her apartment. Anyways, dad should be coming home in a few...Oh! I see his headlights. I hope he wants to go to the Grill tonight. I race to the front room that's right off to the left of the front door (the kitchen being to the right.) I jumped on the black leather couch and waited for him, smiling stupidly. He walked in the door pretending not to see me until he took his hat, jacket, and boots off. He sat his lunch bag down on the brown stool, grabbed the mail and his glasses and made his way to his recliner. Finally, he looked at me. He smirked laughingly, "What? What'd you do?"

I did the same look. "Nothing..."

"You better tell me! What the hell did you do!"

"Matt asked me out today."

"Oh he did, did he? Like on a date or to be his girlfriend?"

"Girlfriend."

"Did you guys make out?"

"Would you stop!"

He laughed. "Well he seems nice I guess. You need to bring him over so I can drill him."

"Uhm, no. Anyways, he said we should come to the Grill tonight to see him."

"Go right ahead."

"Ugh, dad stop! I want you to come with me!"

"Why do I need to come with you?"

He always puts up these faux fights, and this is where, in the fight, I pretend to get upset and give up, usually walking away and he says something which leads to me getting my way. Tehe.

I texted Matt. 'Me and dad are coming to the Grill! Wait on us!' Matt texted back 'will do.'

'Do you have Facebook?' I asked him. He replied, 'Yes. Is it ok if I change my relationship status?'

I "yeeyed!" 'I was gonna ask the same thing! Yes '

Shortly after, I got a Facebook notification. Matt Donovan requested to be in a relationship with you. Confirm? I clicked confirm excitedly, and awaited for people to freak out about it. Wow, maybe they'll actually talk to me. I got comments (what! Who?! When! Text me!), likes, and texts from Anna, Bradley, and Mae. I smiled in satisfaction.

I was trying to be all cool-like when we walked in the Grill. Matt saw us and a big smile spread across his face. He came over to us and shook dad's hand. "Mr. Summers," he greeted before leading us to a table. "Call me Dean," dad stated. Matt nodded, "Dean."
