Sunday: the last day of events. After I went home yesterday, I started baking for the picnic. I baked cookies, and cupcakes, and even a blueberry pie. I even made some of my grandma's famous lemonade, and some of my peach flavored lemonade. By the way, I got rave reviews on all of them thank you very much!
Damon had showed up to help set up tables. I was surprised by that, but he is good friends with Ms. Forbes and she had asked him to help since she wanted to help Caroline. He winked at me after telling me to save him a piece of pie.
The aromas of the barbeque stands and other foodies smelt so good. My dad came and was getting an array of samples from the different booths. The picnic was a very good turn out-so many people came and I think everyone had a good time. I would look around and see people smiling, chatting, sharing, just being a good community. And let's just say I had nothing to take home after I put my baked items on the table.
Thus concluded the week of events and I couldn't wait till next years' because I had a really fun time with it. Caroline heaved a great big sigh as she approached me and said "My work here is done!" I told her she did a good job of things and she thanked me appreciatively. "Now I need a nap!" she stated happily.
Sunday night dad and I hung out around the TV and Monday I stayed home to clean up all my dishes I dirtied. I hadn't talked to Damon much at all since Saturday which kind of weirded me out but oh well I guess. I was going there Tuesday so I'll see him then.
