I didn't show up for work until about two. I was sleeping in and was in no rush (as usual). Today I was cleaning the three bathrooms. One in each of the boys' rooms' upstairs, and then the house bathroom on the main floor. Damon's bathroom was huge. He had this bowl full of fancy soap of different colors, shapes, and smells. It made me feel sneaky to be in there. And when I saw Damon face to face I felt all embarrassed kind of because of our dance.
"Goin to the movies tonight?" I asked while wiping his mirror with Windex as he leaned against the threshold watching me (which made me feel very nervous).
"Sorry, I'm not into rom-coms," he mocked.
"Well there is a scary movie after that," I mentioned.
"And your point?"
I grimaced at him. "Shut up. You're coming. Bring blankets, pillows, whatever. It's in the park; they're playing it on a projector."
He rolled his eyes, lifted himself up off the threshold dramatically and left me to finish cleaning. I smiled to myself. I love our relationship we have, whatever it is. It's exciting because I don't know what the future holds.
That evening I brought my regular pillow, my pillow pet I sleep with every night, and two blankets: a scuddy one to lie on and another one to cover up with. They were showing Just Go With It featuring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. I liked this movie. The scary one they were showing later was one I haven't even heard of.
Naturally, it was our group in one area. I was lying by Matt and we were laughing with each other before the movie, so that felt nice.
As the credits began to roll, Matt stood up. "Where are you going?" I asked as others in the group sprained their necks around to look at him. "Sorry guys, gotta go to work."
"Aw!" I expressed in a no-fair tone.
"Sorry-hey, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Have fun."
We all chimed goodbyes and see you tomorrows. There was a fifteen minute intermission so I headed to the park bathrooms along with Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline, talking and gossiping along the way.
I laid back down in my spot, trying to get in a comfortable position, curious about what was gonna be playing shortly. Being it was past nine, it was pretty dark and chilly. The projector screen shone brightly on our faces. I was alarmed when someone started to lay stuff down beside me and I jerked my head to look up. Damon was throwing down a couple pillows and crouching down to lie beside me. I actually kind of forgot I had told him to come-I'm surprised he did! "Hey!" I said.
"What are we watching?" He asked still trying to get in a decent position.
"I don't know," I chortled.
He picked up my Pillow Pet that was in between us. It was a small dog. "What is this?" He poked fun.
"It's my Pillow Pet! Leave me alone!" I joked back.
He chuckled and put one hand behind his head. He lie with one knee bent up and other straightened out on the grass. I had a pretty big blanket so I asked "Are you cold?"
He shook his head no without bothering to look at me. The movie had started and focused my attention on the screen. Well, only to keep looking at Damon out of the corner of my eye.
As the movie progressed, my eyeing him stopped. I became enticed with whatever we were watching. It was something about ghosts and creatures, so naturally I would jump in fear as something would pop out on the screen. Every time I did this Damon would titter at me. I felt cute when I did it.
Damon had sneakily slithered his hand over and up behind my shoulder so when something was about to happen he grabbed my shoulder and loudly whispered "Boo!" at me. I yelped and people turned around and looked. I playfully slapped his arm. "Damon!" I scolded. "You freaking scared me!" He was amused at his little gag.
Overall the movie was pretty decent. Damon acted like it was the most boring thing he's ever watched in his life. He made sure I got to my car safely (ah!!) and told me good night as he closed my car door for me. I love watching him walk away. He has a nice behind.
