"Harry!" Louis called from his room where he was searching for his favourite bordeaux red sweater unsuccessfully.
He heard a door opening and footsteps pattering over the tiles in the bathroom before another door opened and Harry peeked his head into his room.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Do you have my red sweater?" Louis asked annoyed.
"No." Harry said quickly but avoided his eyes and Louis' gaze darkened.
"Give it to me. Right now." He demanded.
"Fine." Harry huffed defeated and trotted back to his room to bring the clothing to Louis who was already waiting by the door and snatched it out of grip.
"That was the last time you got clothes of mine. I told you countless of times already you can have them when you give them back again, but my closet gets emptier with each day and I'm slowly getting sick of it! You don't need that many jumpers and shirts of mine all at once." He complained and checked the sweater for any stains.
"I'm sorry, Lou." Harry pouted. "But they smell so good and I feel better when having them."
"But one or two items are enough, you don't need twenty of them!" Louis argued. "And that's another thing that will stop, taking my cologne just to distribute it on every possible surface in your room. Do you know how expensive it is? And it's already empty again and I just bought it at the start of the month!"
"But-" Harry started to complain but Louis silenced him.
"No. Don't try to argue." He said.
"That's not fair!" Harry whined.
"Life's not fair, bub. Now go and get ready, the others are coming soon." Louis sighed and threw the sweater over his head.
"Do you really want me there? I can stay in my room." Harry checked for the thousandth time today.
"Yes, I want you there. What's a birthday party without my favourite human?" Louis quirked an eyebrow and Harry's eyes lit up.
"Really?" He asked hopefully.
"Of course, silly." Louis chuckled. "Go." He pushed him back into the bathroom and Harry went to his bedroom happily.
Louis was in the kitchen placing drinks and snacks Jay had insisted to prepare on the counter when the doorbell rang.
"Do you want me to open for you?" Harry asked when he came into the kitchen in light blue jeans and a white knitted jumper with a black rose Louis had gotten for him a few weeks ago.
"No, thank you. But you can clear up the coffee table in the living room real quick, if you want." Louis smiled and almost awed at Harry's outfit, but he restrained himself.
"Okay." Harry chirped and passed him, but Louis grabbed his arm and held him in place.
"That jumper looks beautiful on you." He complimented him and Harry's cheeks reddened as a sheepish smile crept on his face.
"Thank you, Lou." He breathed out and Louis shot him another smile before letting go of him and strolling to the door.
"Tommo! Happy birthday!" Liam, Zayn, Niall and Sammy all chanted in union.
"Thanks, lads. Come in." Louis chuckled and they all stepped inside one after the other after giving the birthday boy quick hugs.
"Ready to get hammered?" Niall cheered.
"Ni, you are aware it's Christmas tomorrow, right? I don't think your parents will be happy when you're sitting at the dinner table with an epic hangover." Sammy laughed.
