Louis was sitting on the stairs in front of the school waiting for Zayn because he didn't see his car in the parking lot and he didn't want to be an entire asshole and let him walk home when he was driving over to him anyway and he knew for a fact that he didn't leave already because no one of his course has passed him yet.

"Lou?" Louis turned around when he heard Harry calling for him as soon as he stepped out of the school building with Jacky and Gina by his side.

"Hey." Louis smiled and got up. "I completely forgot to tell you, but I'm going over to Zayn's so I can't drive you." He said apologetically.

"Oh." Harry said surprised and with a slight frown on his face, not understanding why Louis would hang out with Zayn and if that meant if it was a good or a bad thing. "That's fine, we just take the bus."

"We?" Louis asked.

"Jacky's coming over." Harry said and pointed at his best friend.

"Of course she is." Louis grinned.

"Problem?" Jacky challenged playfully.

"Yes, actually. You're annoying and not a good influence on him." Louis shot back smirking.

"Lie! Maybe you are the problem." Jacky challenged.

"Just wait. One day I will run over you and your big mouth." Louis threatened, but Jacky just rolled her eyes unfazed.

"Lou!" Harry gasped.

"What? She started it!" Louis complained.

"You're such a child, Louis." Gina cackled. "Come on, kiddos. I drive you home."

"Really?" Harry asked with big eyes.

"Of course." Gina smiled. "I don't live far anyway, so it's not even a detour."

"Thank you, Gina. But we don't want to be a bother." Harry frowned.

"Oh, nonesense." Gina waved him off with an amused huff before she turned to Louis. "Give me a ring later. I want to know how it went with Zayn."

"Didn't expect anything else." Louis grinned. "Take them home safely, yeah?"

"Of course!" Gina gasped fake offended. "Let's go, guys."

Harry waved at Louis sheepishly who shot him a wink and he giggled, letting Jacky drag him down the stairs and Louis was left alone once again. It wasn't for long though when Zayn came through the front door and stopped in his tracks surprised.

"Hey, did you change your mind?" He asked unsure.

"No. Didn't see your car, so I take it you could need a ride." Louis said apathetically.

"Oh, uh, yeah thanks." Zayn said, surprise evident on his face.

Without saying anything more they walked to Louis' car with a fair distance to each other and the ride to Zayn's house was filled with an uncomfortable silence at first until Zayn took a heart and spoke up.

"So, how was school today?" He asked carefully.

"Seriously?" Louis glanced at him quickly, followed by a huff before he concentrated on the road again shaking his head to himself. "It was alright." He muttered anyway.

"Good. Did you start with the preparations for the finals in psychology already?" Zayn wondered.

"Yes." Louis simply replied and Zayn suppressed a sigh, but gave up trying to make conversation and rather kept quiet for the rest of the ride.

When they arrived they were greeted my Zayn's mum who was more than surprised seeing Louis but embraced him in her arms as if he was her lost son coming home after years. Louis was happy to see her, he had always loved Zayn's parents, every time him and the boys were over they treated them like their own sons- it was the same with every of their parents actually.
