The flight back to Atlas was a quiet one. Well at least on General Coms it was. As Chief, I can listen in on all Wings' Coms to make sure no one is doing something stupid. I had to check in on my boys and girls. This is the first time they went on a full-on slaughter of an entire city of innocents. No amount of Training, Rousing Speeches or Mental Conditioning can truly prepare you for your first slaughter. Yet they performed far better than I thought. Perhaps it was the just the adrenaline dulling their feelings, or they simply followed my own bloodlust. Regardless they did me proud.

Hellion Wing was chatting on how they murdered the Westside. How Hellion 3-4 witnessed a brutal execution. She mowed down the White Fang and crashed through a cafe to reach her lead. They seemed cheerful. Dangerous Ladies. I wonder if I should be worried about their boyfriends or husbands. Guess I know who wears the pants now.

Storm Wing were singing. Songs of valor and slaughter. They were laughing about Storm 5-5's dramatic entrance on one of the main streets. I always told him to calm down and only go crazy once both feet are on the ground. I'm just surprised that some girl manage to get close enough to hit his Viking. Setting her on fire with the thrusters was a new one. Should try that next time.

Blizzard Wing was silent for the most part. Blizzard Lead simply wanted an account on what everyone did. Blizzard 4-8's experience with a child put me in a melancholic mood. Stupid kid could've been a survivor if he just stayed in the basement. Well for a bit longer till the Grimm found him. Trapped in a basement with Grimm outside. 4-8 gave him a mercy kill.

Inferno and Steel were the only wings talking amongst each other. I lost track of them in the battle. I know we went our separate ways at the main crossroads. I had my own worries and had to make sure the grunts with me got through it alive for the most part. Lost some good men and women. Broadside was shot roughly six times. He lives with a bullet that was kissing heart now. Vikings and Grunts alike call him Iron Heart now. Got to buy him the first round after our talk with Ironwood.

That's Gonna Be Fun.

-----Entering Atlas Airspace----

At long last we have Atlas in sight. We've been feeling the strain at least an hour ago. My Pilots need their rest. My Grunts need to bury the dead. My Mechanics need to get to work.

I Need Answers.

AAC: "This Atlas Tower. We have you on sensors Chief. Welcome Home. Airspace is clear and you may land when needed."

Crimson: "Confirm Atlas Tower. Chief Out."

Crimson: "All Vikings! Land your craft and prepare for debrief. All leads are to come with me. Broadside are you still able to join us?"

Broadside: "You wouldn't dare go without me. I'll meet you groundside."

Crimson: "Never Iron Heart. Let's get to it people!"

Inferno was the first to land and make their way to the hangars. The rest soon followed then the Transports. I waited in the sky till everyone has landed. First in and Last out. How a Combat Leader should be. I finally landed set Hati to rest. She done great work yesterday. She earned a nap. My leads and Broadside were soon with me. Broadside brought along two dozen soldiers with me. They were armed and had stoic looks.

He Best Have Answers.

We make our way to Ironwood's office. Base personal made way for us, and the guards tried to block us, but they were simply knocked out and tossed aside. Winter was waiting for us in front of Ironwood's office. I was expecting to fight her, but she surprised me but opening the door for us and followed us inside. We find Ironwood sitting at his desk with a grim expression.
