Man what a pain. It took far longer than I would've liked to get them on that damn transport. I stare at it as it rises from the platform and makes the journey south. I should be watching it till it disappears over the horizon but I can't. Hard to see the family being evacuated but I won't make the same mistakes as I did in Korhal. Not letting them die here when I could've get them to safety. A hand that usually reassures me pats my shoulder but it's honestly doing the opposite.

Crimson: "It annoys me greatly that you're not joining them..."

Yang: "What? You expected me to run off? You know me better than that Ace."

Crimson: "I know but still.."

Yang: "Listen Ace. I'm a trained and experienced huntress! It's my job to fight Grimm and defend my Home! Not letting you have all the fun after all! Ha!"

She wraps a arm around my neck and kisses my cheek but it still annoys me. Fine let her do what she wants. Long as she doesn't do anything overly stupid then I guess it'll be fine. I strapped my helmet back on and sigh for the umpteenth time. She is extremely lucky that I love her.

Crimson: "What's your plan then? I got a defense to organize."

Yang: "Join my team. Probably help with making the defenses or with the evacuation they have yet to announce. Kinda glad you got a head start on it, not gonna lie."

Crimson: "Not repeating history here."

Yang: "Not gonna let it be like Vale again. That was horrible...."

Grunt: "Sir! General Ironwood is calling all High Rank Officers to the command room!"

I wave my Grunt off and he goes back to helping loading up another transport. Guess my time is up with her. Won't see her for a few days but can't be help. Least I don't have to worry about the kids. Pretty sure Trish will keep them in line. Still stumped why Jurgen's parents didn't join. Whatever. Got work to do.

Crimson: "Worse case scenario. I'll find you in Vale. Best case? Do I got a surprise for you."

Yang: "I tend to like surprises. But you keeping secrets from me? How cruel! Hahahaha!"

Crimson: "You're one to talk. I get the feeling you're doing more than killing Grimm. Tell me later?"

Yang: "Yeah....I've been meaning too but...Listen. Once this is over then I'll tell ya whatever you want to know! Promise!"

One quick kiss and off she goes with a smile. I really did get lucky with her. Not another woman like her in all the Dominion and definitely not here on Remnant. I watched her disappear around the corner and off I go myself to the meeting. Gotta chill. Only separated for a short while after all. I'll see her in a few days or a week tops. Not a problem.
