Chapter 25: Complications

*Yang's Pov*

Weiss: "Okay, Ruby. I understand everything so far."

Ruby: "Right?"

Weiss turns to me. I sipped my beer and prepared for the barrage of questions.

Weiss: "So how did Y/N let you stay for so long Yang?"

Yang: "After a week, He just gave me 3000 lien and told me "Get what you need." I did arrive to Atlas with nothing but my clothes. I don't even have my gauntlets anymore! I have replacements but it's not the same you know?"

They never did find them after the camp was razed. Crimson was apologetic and ordered me a new set. They may not be the same. But they still hold a special place in my heart just like my old pair. They even have a small Herald symbol on them. Even got them in Yellow. Just the way I like it.

Ruby: "That doesn't explain why he let you stay."

Yang: "You ever thought that we are friends?"

Weiss: "Out of the four of us. Blake and Ruby were the closest to him. You and me were at best we know of each other."

Yang: "Maybe. If that was the case, then we wouldn't be here Princess~"

Weiss: "Don't call me that."

Ruby: "I'm just surprised that you stayed for so long."

Yang: "I did stay with dad for a while. But I got sick of it quickly. Once the arm that Ironwood sent me arrived. I got out of there and went off doing whatever. Found Weiss and my deadbeat mother at least."

Dad was never good at this sort of thing. He kinda mopped about and said the usual "You're a strong woman", "You'll get over it". What bullshit. My mother has an odd taste in men. Guess Ruby's mom does as well. Over the years, I don't see my dad in any good light. Guess he was better when he was younger. May never know.

Weiss: "So why stay? You always wanted to go out on adventures and cause trouble everywhere."

Yang: "I got...Cozy."

Ruby: "Really? No way! A Domesticated Yang!? How did that happen!?"

Yang: "Hahaha. It just felt right is all."

Weiss: "Right? Yang. Really. Tell us why."

Yang: "After...Vale. I've just been either angry or depress. When Crimson came to me. I... just lost it. He wiped out everything. He says a few words, and everything is gone. I lost my arm. I lost my friend Pyrrha right before my eyes. My sister was nowhere to be found. You were the same Weiss! And Blake!?! NO WHERE!!! *sob* Then he shows up. Barely says a word and just sits with me. The man that killed two cities. The Murderer of Humans, Faunus and Grimm. The True Herald of Slaughter. I saw the blood on his hands. I felt the death seeping out of him. I just lost it. I just attacked him."

Ruby: "Wow."

Yang: "I only came to my senses when some grunts threw me off him."

Weiss: "Surprised your still alive to be honest. Those Heralds are super protective of their chief."

Yang: "Yeah. At one point, I wish they did end me."

Ruby hugs me and I can barely hold back the tears.

Yang: "I still remember that look he gave me. It still haunts me at times."

Such betrayal and hurt. Something he didn't deserve from me. He deserved better.

Yang: "Then you know the rest."

Weiss: "Yang. You've been through a lot. I get that."

Ruby: "So why does Neo call you Mom?"
