*Night One of Operation Blood Letter*

*Bridge of Inevitable Bloodshed*

*15 Miles North of Kuchinashi*

*3rd Person Pov as usual. What? It's a useful Pov! *

Hellion Lead: "This is a really fun target.... I don't even know how to answer this question but a full on assault."

Steel Lead: "We don't have the manpower for a direct assault. It will be foolish to do so right off the bat."

Vanders: "We can simply bombard the place to rubble. I'm quite curious on how these new launchers the Chief designed work."

Lieutenant Josef: "We need to make sure they are all dead. Got to put boots on the ground eventually though that does sound like fun Vanders."

The Herald Officers were conflicted on how to raze Kuchinashi. Intel reports that Kuchinashi is the only target that was heavily defended. The permanent fog also makes long range attacks near pointless if one can't tell what kind of damage they are inflicting. Yet it's not like the Heralds are completely without tools. The Vikings are equipped with Thermal Vision that links to the Pilot's Helmet. The Inevitable Bloodshed can ravage the city with mass missile barrages, but it won't level the city outright. Plus, some new additions. This was the "Fun" target.

Steel Lead: "Ya know...I think a plan is coming to me."

Vanders: "Oh? That was fast."

Hellion Lead: "Does it involve setting the place on fire? That tends to solve most things."

Lt Josef: "You and Zach have begun to develop problems ever since the Chief made those rockets!"

Steel Lead: "True my brother has problems but that's beside the point. Why don't we Siege the place out?"

Lt Josef: "Why aren't you calling out Silver as well?"

Hellion Lead: "Siege? We Heralds are Raiders not Besiegers. So how do we do it? I just know how to hit hard and fast. I'll show you later Josef~"

Lt Josef: "Shit...."

Steel Lead: "Well, Kuchinashi is reliant on imports. We cut those rope bridges, make that "Secret Pass" a death trap with some Grunts and finally we Pilots will shoot down any air traffic. This city is the true heart of darkness of Mistral. You think they will unite and work together? I reckon they will start killing each other when the food starts running out. I think we have some specialists still in there. They find any food storage/warehouse, they upload the coordinates to Vanders, and he blows it to hell. Once the Food Riots start, we come in and start shooting! Or better yet! We disguise our transport as a food barge, and they open the door for us! No... We steal theirs instead!"

The Officers were silent for a few minutes as they visualize Steel's plan. The crew on the bridge were impressed. They figured that the Herald Pilots and Grunts will simply charged in. There was an odd disconnect between the Air Crew and the Pilots/Grunts.

Lt Josef: "One Question."

Steel Lead: "Yes?"

Hellion Lead: "Why aren't you second in command?! Zach would've just started blasting!"

Steel Lead shrugs. He is also annoyed that he can't argue with Silver. Zach has gotten a lot more hot blooded lately. Then again, Silver isn't that much better. Especially when it comes to Yang. Poor Chief. Glad he doesn't have to deal with it.

Steel Lead: "I don't want the responsibility. I'm happy with my wing."

Vanders: "Valid. Ridley!"

Ridley: "Already getting in contact with the specialist sir!"
