Selene's POV

It was another day here on Dragon's Edge. Hiccup and I were building a new look out scope. He was putting on the finishing touches when he told Toothless to give one more plasma blast. I was looking though the glass. "Sweet. I can see straight to the horizon," I told my lover. "That should definitely make it harder for anyone to sneak up on us. I wonder how the twins' lookout tower is coming along," Hiccup told me. "I don't want to know," I told him and we just laughed. We continued working on the scope, when Barf and Belch came swooping in. "Hiccup! Drop everything you're doing and bring your face!" Tuff told my boyfriend. I saw Astrid and Snotlout walk over, both looked as confused as we were. Ruffnut crossed her arms and smirked, "prepare to be rubbed." I just sighed. "Alright," I told the twins and they led us to where their watchtower is supposed to be. Barf and Belch were on their hind legs, using their wings to block the tower. "Dragon riders, you asked for it. We built it. Presenting you..." Tuff started and Ruff made some trumpet like sounds. "With your new rock lookout tower!" Tuff cheered and the Zippleback moved, revealing, nothing. "So, what're you trying to show us?" I asked the twins. They looked confused and turned around to also see nothing. "You guys never disappoint, do you?" Snotlout asked the twins rhetorically. "What? No! Wait! It was here a minute ago!" Tuff panicked, before turning to his sister. "What did you do with it, Ruffnut?" The girl was very offended by the question. "I didn't do anything with it!" She snapped back. "Lying she-beast! You were jealous of my rock tower," Tuff told her. I quickly stepped between them, before it got ugly. "Listen. I believe you two did build the lookout tower. But its gone now. Can you guys please build another one without losing your heads to each other?" I asked the twins and they just nodded and walked off to get more rocks. "Thank you for handling that," I heard my boyfriend. I smiled and turned to him. "No problem," I told him, then a very excited voice rang out. "Hiccup, Selene, come quickly!" The was Fishlegs' voice. "That does not sound good," Astrid commented. Hiccup and I ran towards the clubhouse, to figure out what happened to Fishlegs. Once we got there though, there was different colored Gronckle Lava all over the floor. "Careful where you step," Fishlegs commented. "We see that, now what was the emergency?" I asked the boy as I now saw him on Meatlug, who was flying. I saw the Dragon Eye was on and pointed up at the ceiling.

"I may have made the greatest discovery in the history of Berkian civilization!" Fishelgs cheered. Hiccup and I got a closer look at the writing and realized, "oh, Fishlegs, is that..." Hiccup started and Fishlegs nodded his head in excitement. "Yeah, this is a Gronckle and here is the boulder surrounded by water, and the dual mountain peaks," Fishlegs started, gesturing to each writing and picture. "Ooh! Dark Deep! Fishlegs cheered. "That's the ancestral home of the Grocnkles! Fishlegs, this is amazing!" I cheered and jumped up and down in excitement, also being careful of the lava. "It's real, guys. And we finally found it," Fishlegs cheered. "Yeah. What's so great about this?" Snotlout asked as he walked in. "Do I really have to explain?" Fishlegs asked the boy with annoyance. "Your boring discovery? Yes," Snotlout told the boy while crossing his arms. "Dark Deep is an island that, up until now, we wer never sure existed," Fishlegs started. "It wasn't even in the Book of Dragons. But, Bork mentions it in his papers, but it was described very briefly," I told Snotlout. "Yeah, there was even a context of a different species. If we were able to find Dark Depp, it could unlock so many secrets, not only of the Gronckles, but the entire Boulder Class of dragons," Fishlegs told us. I saw Meatlug was very excited in her own way. Fishlegs proceeded to ask how amazing this was, and Snotlout being Snotlout, didn't care. Meatlug then flew down and hovered in front of Hiccup and myself. "Guys, I've taken the liberty of charting a course based on these encryptions. This island is so remotes, it's farther than any island we've ever flown to," Fishlegs informed us. "I don't care! Let's go!" Meatlug growled in excitement. "I've never seen Meatlug so excited," Fishlegs smiled as he hugged his dragon's head. "Just think, we'll be among the first Berkians to ever set foot on Dark Deep," I smiled. "Ok, I get it, guys. But Toothless and I should go with you, just in case you guys need some help," Hiccup told us. "Ok, but since Fishlegs discovered it, he gets to be the first one to set foot on Dark Deep," once I finished, the boys agreed and Meatlug zoomed out of the clubhouse, towards their hut. Hiccup and I just smiled at each other. I walked over and grabbed the Dragon Eye, then retreated towards my hut to gather some supplies and rest.
