(Hey guys! This chapter will include depression and night terrors so if you're not comfortable with this, skip this chapter. Thanks for all the support! Love you guys! This chapter also embodies some of my own fears and what I've been mentally going through. Please don't judge)
Hiccup's POV
It had been two weeks since we lost Dagur along with Selene and Crystal disappearing. Everyday, I kept think about what would've happened if I just listened to Selene about it being a trap. Dagur would still be alive, but most importantly, I wouldn't have driven off the girl that means everything to me. Lillian lost it. She would scream at me whenever we'd cross paths. She probably heard our argument. She's also been relentlessly trying to figure out where the girl and Light Fury could have gone. I just walked into the Dracia's girls hut to see papers everywhere. "Uh!!!" Lillian groaned and plopped onto her bed. "Still nothing?" I asked the girl. "What do you think!?" She growled at me. I just frowned, knowing that I wasn't having any luck either. "She clearly doesn't want to be found," Astrid spoke as she and the other riders came to the hut. "Anything?" I asked and they all shook their heads no. I just sighed in frustration. Where could she have gone?! She really doesn't want us to find her. "I still don't understand why she and Crystal haven't come back," Ruffnut spoke. "Isn't it obvious you idiots?" Lillian sat up and glared at us. Yeah, ever since her sister disappeared, her mood has been extremely sour. "She feels like she betrayed all of our trust and she probably feels like she let Heather down. Not to mention that someone, made her feel worthless * cough* Hiccup *cough*," Lillian growled. That's when everyone realized that she takes stuff like this. She probably feels like she let Heather down by Dagur's death. Everyone just looked over at me with disappointed looks and I couldn't blame them. What I said to Selene was very uncalled for. And I would do anything to take those words back.
"Ok, now I just feel worse than before," Tuffnut spoke. "Well, is there anywhere we haven't looked that the pair could've gone that we haven't looked?" Astrid asked and Lillian jumped up and rushed to her map on the wall. She then pointed to an island that was definitely not on my map. "I somewhat know about this island. Before I went undercover, Sandstorm and I went by this island. It was pretty deserted, and it looked like the definition of brokenness. So I'm guessing Selene and Crystal would go here," Lillian told us. "Ok. We leave now," I told the others and got on Toothless. I knew he wanted to see Crystal and Selene. He still sticks by me, but he's given me the cold shoulder every now and then. I don't blame him. He loves Crystal and Selene so much. Not having either of them here feels like part of my heart has been ripped out. I only hope that Selene is ok and that I can earn her forgiveness someday. I already nearly lost her when she caught the Scourge of Odin. But that was Viggo's fault. This however, was my own doing, and I regret every single word I said.
Selene's POV
This island matched exactly what I was feeling. The forest was dark and thick with trees. The bodies of water were a midnight blue. Crystal and I have been here for at least two weeks now and we managed to build a decent tree house to live in.
