Defenders of the Wing PT. 1

Selene's POV

"Combined plasma blast!" I shouted and both Crystal and I fired a plasma blast at the hunter ships in unison. The gang and I were raiding some ships to release the captive dragons. I saw Lillian and Sandstorm freeing a Thunderdrum from its cage. "Jump!" Crystal roared and I quickly jumped off her saddle as an arrow wizzed right by me. I quickly let my wings unfurl and started to fly. "Thanks, sis!" I thanked Crystal as I flew back to her saddle. "No worries!" She cooed happily. We were starting to retreat when Meatlug and Fishlegs were caught. "Come on, girl, you can do this," Fishlegs tried encouraging the Gronckle. The hunters were also firing arrows. Sandstorm was trying to destroy as many arrows as she could, but out of the corner of my eye, I saw two heading straight for Stormfly. "Astrid, watch out!" I shouted. The girl kicked one away, but the second one hit her in the leg. Astrid let out a shout of Ian before pulling the arrow out and discarding it. Lillian saw this and wasn't happy. I saw her let out a massive fireball and it headed straight for the hunter that launched the arrow. Crystal shot a plasma blast at the wood underneath the winches and it sank, letting Meatlug go.

I saw Ryker emerge and he wasn't happy. I charged up a plasma blast and shot it right at the hunter, knowing he'd dodge it. And unfortunately, he did. "Too bad that didn't hit you, Ryker. It would've done wonders for your face," I laughed and we all flew away. When we made it back to the Edge, Lillian rushed over to Astrid and started to tend to her leg. "Seems like you're getting a sister-in-law soon," Crystal joked as I checked on Meatlug. I just smiled. "Poor girl. Minor wing sprain. Should be fine in a couple of weeks," I told Fishlegs. Astrid, Lillian, and Heather then walked over. "Are you limping?" Hiccup asked the blonde-haired warrior viking. "No," Astrid lied. "She got shot in the leg," Heather bluntly spoke. "What?" Hiccup asked/shouted. "A hunter arrow was going to hit Stormfly, so I blocked it," Astrid spoke and crossed her arms. "With your leg?" Hiccup asked. "I'll be fine, besides, Lillian got revenge," Astrid spoke and gave my little sister a grateful smile and the pair slowly walked away. Heather and I looked at each other with knowing smirks. "All right, has anyone else been hurt recently? Who didn't tell me?" Hiccup asked. Snotlout and the twins raised their hands.

"I got a thing in my eye," Tuff spoke. "Hiccup means serious injuries, Tuff. I'm sure it was just a bug or something," I spoke. "That bug was on a mission, Selene. To be in my eye," the boy spoke. "Oh, gods," Hiccup grumbled. I put a hand on his shoulder and he put a hand over mine. "We all know the risks, Hiccup," Heather spoke. "And let's not forget we freed a couple dozen dragons this week," Astrid added as Lillian finished wrapping her leg. "Okay, guys, new rule. From now on--" Hiccup was cut off when a Terrible Terror flew towards him, and it had a piece of parchment attached to his leg. Hiccup grabbed it and the Terror flew off. I looked over his shoulder and started growling once I saw who the sender was. "It's Viggo, isn't it?" Lillian asked. "Yeah. He wants to meet," Hiccup spoke. "I'm staying here. No offense, but if I see that man, he's dead," I spoke and we all walked towards the clubhouse. Astrid put a map in front of us and circled the island Viggo wants to meet at. "He chose an island in the middle of nowhere. Nice long flight to tire out your dragon," Astrid started stating the obvious. Snotlout then started laughing, "Trap. That's definitely a trap."

"Love, Viggo could be using this as a trick for him and his men to ambush you and Toothless," I spoke with worry. "No. That's not his style," Hiccup spoke. "Hiccup's right. That sneaky eel likes to out-think his opponents," Lillian snarled as her eyes turn slitted. Astrid patted her shoulder and her eyes returned to normal. "That's also his weakness," Hiccup added. "Unless he actually out0thinks you. Which sounds like a strength to me," Tuff spoke. Ruff just glared at her twin and raised her fist and hit him smack-dab in the face. "Like you weren't thinking it too," Tuff spoke. "of course I was, but I wasn't saying it out loud," Ruff glared at her brother. "Sorry if my thinking comes out of my mouth," Tuff growled. Hiccup decided that he, Astrid and Heather would go see what Viggo has to say. "This isn't gonna end well," Lillian spoke as we watched the 3 leave. "What now?" Snotlout asked. "Go rest your dragons and yourselves. We'll let you know when Hiccup and the others get back," I told them. Snotlout, the twins and their dragons left the clubhouse, but I just stayed, looking at the map.
