Sausage's Perspective
Sausage knocked on fWhip's bedroom door.
fWhip didn't answer it.
He didn't answer the door anymore.
Sausage sighed.
He knew fWhip was in a tough spot.
Pix said that he would search the desert and told fWhip to get some rest and stop stressing.
Well, that's what everyone said,
"Stop stressing and get sleep, Gem's a wizard she'll be fine!"
Sausage knocked again. The owl on his shoulder looked at Sausage curiously.
"What?!" fWhip barked.
"Babe, don't talk to me like that."
Sausage opened the door; he was holding a letter and an owl was perched on his shoulder.
fWhip sighed and sat up in bed while Sausage walked over.
"How've you been?" Sausage asked, making fWhip look at him.
fWhip shrugged and his eyes landed on the letter.
"Who's that from?"
Sausage smiled and jerked his head towards the owl.
fWhip then gasped, "Gem?!"
Sausage opened the letter and said, "Let's find out, shall we?"
He cleared his throat,
"Dear brother.
Hello. It's Gem. I'm sure you've been worried sick about where I am but please know that I am okay. No need to go searching for me. I will return shortly. The town that I am in is run by a corrupt king who is like Joel, but crueler. He only cares about himself, and I think he's planning on making me do magic to help his problems. But don't worry, I should be fine. I've met some people who also want to get rid of their ruler and I want to help free them. I don't know when I'll be back but it should be soon.
Lots of love, Gem."Sausage finished.
fWhip blinked a couple of times and then grabbed the letter from Sausage.
He read the letter over and over, waiting for it to sink in.
"Don't search for her... she'll return shortly... corrupt ruler?!" fWhip gasped, "We need to help her! Why the fuck is she doing this on her own?!"
fWhip leapt up and started pacing around, "We'll search for her. Find her. Help her. Why is she doing this on her own? If she has freedom she should leave and come back."
Sausage looked down. There was no way to help fWhip when he was like this.
Ever since Gem left, he's been pacing around more and more, and he would snap at you if you interrupted him.
He would also break down after each pacing.
"You know Gem." Sausage said softly, "I'm sure she wants to give them freedom."
fWhip then rushed over to his desk and started writing a letter.
When he finished, he tied it to the owl's leg and sent it off.
He then watched the window for the entire day, sometimes getting up and pacing.
Sausage left, feeling sorry.
Well, more like feeling hurt.
fWhip used to be caring. Sure, he didn't always show it, but he was better than he is now.
Sausage walked downstairs and left the Grimlands.
He was planning on proposing to fWhip soon, but this was turning into a disaster.
I know he cares about his sister, but he's being rude to all of us, and that's not fair.
Sausage kicked a rock before flying off.
His heart was cracking because of fWhip.
He's not the same.
The Next Day-
The next day, Sausage got up and walked around the Mythlands.
He walked over to the wall that connected Mythlands to the Cod Empire.
"Hello Sausage!"
Sausage smiled and waved at the Cod Father, Jimmy.
"Hello Jim. How've you been?"
"Good." Jimmy replied and then he blushed, "I'm planning on visiting Scott later. He wanted to hang out and get his mind off of Gem."
Sausage nodded, "That sounds nice. Wish I could do that with fWhip."
"Well, why don't you?"
Sausage shrugged and explained what had been happening recently.
At the end, Jimmy nodded.
"Your relationship is probably just in a rough patch right now. It'll get better, I'm sure of it."
Just then, Scott flew down.
"Hey flower." Scott kissed Jimmy's cheek and grabbed his hand.
"Hello petal." Jimmy said, making Scott blush.
Sausage chuckled and said, "Well I better go. Don't wanna interrupt. Have fun."Scott looked a bit concerned and asked, "How's fWhip doing?"
Sausage turned around and shrugged, "It's...he's been better."
He chuckled lightly but then his face fell.
"Hey, I know this whole incident with Gem is bothering him, but it'll get better." Scott said.
"Thanks. Er- I better go."
Scott and Jimmy exchanged nervous looks but didn't stop Sausage as he disappeared into the Mythlands.
fWhip's Perspective-
fWhip walked in the Grimlands village.
The villagers stopped to stare at him before quickly getting back to work, as if scared that he would shout at them.
But he didn't feel like shouting at them.
The only thing he wanted to do was find Gem.
fWhip walked over to Crystal Cliffs. He shivered at how empty it was.
The villagers that were normally at Crystal Cliffs were staying over at the Grimlands, so Gem's empire was abandoned.
fWhip walked into his sister's home and started walking around.
All the books were about dragons or magic while the pictures that were hung up were with Gem and her friends.
Eventually, fWhip came across a picture of him and Gem.
They were smiling and in front of Crystal Cliffs Academy.
It was taken right when it opened.
He stared at his sister's face.
As he walked away, he paused.
Gem must've been planning this trip for a while...
fWhip then ran up to his sister's room and started searching all of the drawers.
He then moved onto her wardrobe and threw all the clothes around, trying to find it.
He just remembered her telling him about it.
She may not still write in it but it's worth a shot.
fWhip continued searching until finally, after moving around her spare cloaks, he found a brown book that had purple amethyst jewels decorating the cover.
A smile edged on his face as he grabbed the book.
He opened it and was delighted to see that the date was a couple of months ago.
She still writes in it.
It was her diary.
