The Wedding

fWhip's Perspective-

The Next Day-

fWhip looked in the mirror.

In just about an hour, Sausage was going to be his.

Gem was sitting on his bed.

She then got up and tied a red tie on her brother.

"You look fine." She said, kissing his cheek.

fWhip smiled.

Gem was wearing a lavender dress that had white snowflakes on it. She also had her hair in braids and a sunflower pinned on her dress.

"I'm pretty sure Pearl and Katherine have set up some sunflowers to give to the guests at the church of Blood Sheep." Gem said, pinning a sunflower on fWhip's suit.

Pearl created a farm empire called Gilded Helianthia. She has a sunflower dress and crown and lives happily with Tilly.

"Come on." Gem said, grabbing her brother's hand, "We're going to be late."

fWhip was standing up front with Gem and Pearl.

"Will everyone please stand as Sausage, ruler of Mythlands, walks in."

Everyone stood and turned their heads to the door.

fWhip took a deep breath, fidgeting with his hands.

Sausage walked in.

He wore a sunflower dress and a yellow shirt.

His face was red from embarrassment.

fWhip and Sausage made eye contact and they faced each other.

fWhip's breath started rushing, but not because he was stressed.

This was the best day of his life.

Tom cleared his throat, "We are gathered here today to bring together fWhip, king of the Grimlands, and Sausage, king of the Mythlands."

fWhip stopped paying attention.

All the sound was drowned out.

He couldn't believe what was happening.

"Do you, fWhip Tay, take Mythical Sausage, through sickness and health, through life and death, through conflict and peace, to be your Wither Husband?" Tom asked.

"I do." fWhip said and Sausage beamed at him.

"And do you, Mythical Sausage, take fWhip Tay, through sickness and health, through life and death, through conflict and peace, to be your Wither Husband?"

"I do." Sausage said.

"Wow!" Joey said breathlessly and a couple of people laughed.

Joey then cleared his throat, his cheeks a bit pink, "With the power invested in me, which is not very much, I pronounce you husband and husband!"

fWhip grabbed Sausage's face and kissed him.
Sausage melted into the kiss, and everyone cheered and clapped.

Sausage was finally fWhip's.

And fWhip was finally Sausage's.

Gem's Journal-

'Today was fWhip and Sausage's wedding.
It was beautiful, magical even.

I got a new wand and I'm going to start teaching Tom and Trissa tomorrow.

They are both very excited.

Though today was very happy and enjoyable, I know next week it will be full of sadness.

Why?

Well next week we scheduled Anthony's funeral.

We want to honor him for the sacrifice he made.

We wouldn't have gotten out if it weren't for him.

Trissa and Tom wouldn't be my students if it weren't for him.

And I wouldn't be free if it weren't for him.

He did so much.

We lost him too soon.

What happened last month really made me think about how short our lives are after losing Anthony and almost losing fWhip.

I faced a pain that I had never experienced before.

Even after being locked in a dungeon.

But the thought that I was going to lose fWhip, my brother, my closest friend...it hit different.

But that's a story for another day.

Today was the wedding!

My brother is now married to Sausage!

Finally! Sausage told me about how he proposed, and it made me and Trissa squeal with delight.

He couldn't've done it at any better time than that.

"Gem?"

Gem looked up from her journal and saw her brother.

She had changed into her cloak since it was getting cold out, but her brother was still in his suit.

"Congrats!" She hugged him and he laughed.

"I was wondering where you were."

"Where's your husband?" Gem asked.

fWhip blushed, "It feels so weird calling him that."

Gem giggled and bumped into her twin lightly.

"I'm happy for you."

"Thanks. You know, these past two weeks have been great. You're back home, Trissa and Tom have been nothing but helpful with wedding plans. Pearl's getting settled in in the farmlands and now I'm married to the love of my life."

Gem kissed her brother's cheek, "I'm really happy for you."

"And I'm happy for you. You got students now!"

Gem nodded and then sighed, "But at what cost."

She stared out her window and her brother wrapped his arm around her shoulders, giving her a squeeze.

"We're going to honor him next week. But for now, have some fun. Trissa and Tom are downstairs, I think they want to start a game of Twister."

Gem laughed and said, "I'll be down in a sec."

fWhip looked at her and then nodded, leaving.

Gem sighed as she stared outside.

She gripped onto her coat and tucked it around her shoulders.

She laughed lightly, "You were right," She looked out into the howling night wind, "I do clutch onto it when I'm sad and worried."

Gem then heard music playing and Oli's singing.

She smiled as she walked out of her room.

Just then, a white and blue light caught her eye, and she did a double take.

It looked as though Anthony was there, but he was blue, white, and glowing instead of being solid.

Gem looked around but then shrugged and walked downstairs, not knowing that she had another friend from Frost Ford with her.
