fWhip's Perspective-

fWhip had no idea what Gandalf was trying to tell him.

It was getting late and fWhip decided he would just sleep on Gem's couch before returning to Grimlands the next morning.

Well, he had a surprise for him when he woke up.

-

"Oof."

fWhip moved Gandalf off of him.

"Gandalf; I know you miss Gem, but jumping on my stomach when I'm asleep is just mean." fWhip said.

Gandalf meowed and poked at a book that was on the coffee table.

"Huh?" fWhip sat up and looked at the book.

I don't remember grabbing any books.

He looked at the title.

'The Cats Language: How to Write to Your Pets'

fWhip looked over at Gandalf who was grooming himself.

fWhip then grabbed the book and flipped it open.

He thought it was just a book that taught you how to read a cat's body language but to his surprise it gave a layout of the alphabet and numbers in cat writing.

fWhip looked at the letter that Gandalf gave him last night and after a couple minutes of struggling, he figured out what it meant.

'Gem told me where she was going. It's a town in the woods called Frost Ford.'

fWhip gasped but then slumped down.

"I've never heard of Frost Ford." He groaned.

At that precise moment, Gandalf sprang up and started upstairs.

Halfway through he stopped and looked at fWhip before meowing.

"You want me to follow you?"

Gandalf nodded.

fWhip got up and practically ran upstairs to find Gandalf meowing and pawing at one of the bookshelves.

fWhip ran over and started grabbing books off of that shelf until finally, he found it.

It was a book about small towns.

Most were talking about where to find them until finally it came to examples of small towns.

'Frost Ford is one of many mini towns in the woods. It is a peaceful place that is ruled by their king, Wade. The people of the town are magically talented, but many people's powers don't grow since they don't have the proper training system and King Wade was never blessed with these powers. He does fully support them though and believe that there is a good in the people's magic.'

fWhip's mouth fell open.

So that's why Gem left to go there. The people have magical powers.

fWhip looked at Gandalf, "Do you mind if I take this with me? I promise I'll return it."

Gandalf blinked and fWhip took that as a yes before flying off to Grimlands.

He dropped the book on his desk and started searching his bags for the letters from Gem.

When he found them, he frantically scanned them until he found the one mentioning the king.

King Wade must've died, and Everett replaced him. Shame, Wade sounds much better than Everett.

fWhip was about to head out.
