Gem's Perspective-

The Next Day-

Gem woke up the next day and walked outside her room.

"Where are you- "

Gem motioned Anthony to silence, and he did.

She then tiptoed off towards the owl barn, a letter and photo in hand.

As she walked in, she saw that there was a sign.

'Left: Trained owls.
Right: Normal Owls'

Gem walked to the left and chose the owl that was awake.

"Can you deliver this to my brother?" Gem asked, showing the owl the picture of Gem and fWhip.

The owl nodded and Gem scratched its head affectionately.

"Thanks." Gem said, tying the letter to the owl's foot before watching it fly off.

Just then, the door opened.

Gem quickly hid behind a cart of food.

Most of the owls were asleep and didn't notice her, but the ones that were awake stared at her, confused.

She tried to motion them to stop but they didn't get it.

I wish I had my wand to tell them to stop!

Gem then placed her hand over her mouth as she heard footsteps enter the trained owl room.

The person stopped in front of the window.

They saw the owl that Gem just sent out disappear into the distance.

"Whose owl is that?" He asked himself.

Gem's eyes widened at the sound of King Everett's voice.

"Hm." He said, "Doesn't matter. Hopefully today he will send a letter."

King Everett stopped in front of the cart and was looking at the owls.

"Do you think he will?"

The owl hooted.

"Why don't you go check? Yes, that would probably be perfect. Don't leave until you get a letter from him. Remember," He grabbed Gem's wand and waved it so a picture of fWhip appeared, "This is what he looks like."

The owl hooted once more and flew out the window.

Everett pocketed the wand and Gem stared at it.

Just- a bit- closer-

Gem stretched her hand slowly through the shelf of the cart.

But just then, Everett moved, causing Gem to stumble a bit and cause some noise.

Luckily, Everett was too consumed in his thoughts to have heard this noise.

He paced around for a couple of minutes before sighing.

"Guess we'll have to try tomorrow. But if he doesn't send one by then," He had a sick smile on his face, "Torture it is."

And he left.

Gem started to get a bad feeling.

The feeling like she was missing something.

fWhip's Perspective-

fWhip was pacing in the meeting room and his fiancé was sitting down.

"fWhip just sit down." Sausage beckoned.
