"Abbie, you can't be in the books all the time. This is your last summer in high school before you're off to college and the real world. Enough with the books and go outside to enjoy." Charlie says from my door frame.
"And I have 4 months of high school left then almost 9 months of summer vacation until college. I'll do all within those months" I replied.
"Nope. Cmon, leave the books. Go out to mall or beach, don't care which one just out. Please?" Charlie moves my books and pulls me to get up.
"Fine. I will go to the beach. Now, out let me get dressed."
"Thank you." Charlie rushes to shut the door.
I get dressed in a full body swimwear and cover it with an oversized t-shirt, jeans shorts and with some crocs. Grabbing a tote bag with a towel, snacks and extra pair of clothes and locking my door.
"Isabella, you wanna come with?" I ask her walking down the attic stairs.
"It's Bella and no." She slams her door in my face.
"Bye dad. I'll be back by 9 pm."
"Enjoy and no more books. School starts in one week. You'll have enough time then."
Starting my car to head to La Push beach. Hoping it's not so packed with people from school. And here's my story.
I'm Abbie Foster, 17 almost 18 and graduating early from Forks High School. I skipped my sophomore year and went to junior year, which was a blessing and a curse as I was stuck with Isabella, my step/adopted sister. She isn't the nicest and always gets her way no matter who she is has to hurt.
I lost my parents at 10 years old to an accident that swerved the car off the road, killing them on impact and sent small me flying out the front windshield to the ocean. Found somewhere on a beach and brought to hospital where Charlie found me.
Since then he adopted me and raised me even seeing my scars and hearing stories of my childhood that weren't normal but happened anyway. He still raised me and I call him, dad with lots of love.
But over the years growing up, I was chosen by the supernatural world by The Mother. She protects and serves to women and children. Creation is her gift and the use of other gifts like the natural elements of fire, water, telekinesis, teleportation, and many more from her past chosen vessels have desired to possess.
I use her gifts to complete some of my duty's as her chosen and some for my benefit. I like to be alone with my girlfriend, Ashley, and with a close group of friends from the circle of the chosen by the other gods and goddesses.
Well then enough about me and on the story...
I find the beach to be nearly empty with a small family finishing up as the kids seem to have fallen asleep. I leave my car and set up my spot to leave when swimming around.
After two hours of swimming, I'm tired. I check the time to see it's 7 pm with the sunsetting. I quickly rinse off to change into my extra clothes and drive home with pizza and Dr. Pepper for all.
I showered and join dad on the couch for baseball.
"How was the beach?"
"Empty." Taking a bite of delicious pizza.
"Hmm"
"What? I went to the beach. I have sand in my car and my bag to prove it."
"I believe you."
"Yea, you missed the steal."
"Noo" he whines. I laugh as Charlie rushes to sit down again.
Slowly my eyes close and I fall asleep with dad by my side.
