Chapter 33

Abbie's POV

We come back to the castle in talk about their wives. "So what have you done? What do they know of me?" I question.

"They know we have found our mate but nothing more. They were troubled but understood the contract of our marriage to them. My love don't think otherwise." He says as we walk to the library.

I enter the library the box from the shop waiting on the couch and Carlisle reading somewhere "Oh. I'll see Marcus for dinner tonight." I say, opening the box.

I unwrap the corset touching the fabric lightly. "Yes, my love." Caius says.

I reach to kiss his hand as a gesture for being nice to talk with and he's feeling truly displayed. Even he said different from his brothers. He walks away leaving me to the corset.

"Carlisle, come look." I call out. "Isn't it pretty? What did you find?"

I put on the corset over my clothes and walk towards him feeling a quick breeze. "Looks gorgeous, my daisy. How was your lunch with Caius? He can be a bit much when it comes to confessing feelings."

I move closer to be held in Carlisle's arms, "Caius was great." I say. "He doesn't have power like Marcus or Aro or you for that matter. He speaks the truth and sometimes can be possessive to make a strong claim."

"I'm glad you see him different." Carlisle brings me to the couch and caresses my hair.

"And what did you read?" I say, looking at the book in his hands.

"A refreshment on the gods and goddesses, the servants specifically. My brothers have met with some before and have their works recorded in the history of the clan." He says, flipping through a page.

I sit up, "Why did you tell me? That's information I would want to read. We, as servants, only have the oral history of our predecessors."

"There are many books in the different sections of the library you will have to speak with my brothers about it." He says, holding my waist.

I smile moving closer to Carlisle, "What a tease, Is there more to the castle?"

He pulls me to his lap, kissing my lips first. "How was your time in the castle before?" I ask.

"My time was filling with much information, arts and of course the language. The city was growing and the times were changing." He says, caressing my hair.

I look at his memories from the castle. "Beautiful and so loving." I say touching his cold face.

"Shall we explore the castle together, my daisy?" He asks.

"Yes, I want to go outside. Aro did mention a pond by the gardens." I say, holding my hand out.

"Well daisy, the sun is out." We walk together towards the gardens.

"Even better to see the insects and bright flowers." I say walking around the gardens.

"We, vampires, shine in the sun. Like diamonds." Carlisle walks in the sun. I stop walking taking in his appearance.

"Wow, it's so pretty." I say softly.

"You think, little daisy?" Carlisle says as I dancing around in his hands.

"Of course. Is the shining to be seen as a bad sign? Is it like demons looking so beautiful too?" I say softly.

"It's a way for the hunters to see in the sunlight. Comparing to demons is not similar to us." Carlisle say.

"Well times have change Carlisle. Hunters are no more and demons are spoken about all the time too." I say. "Have any of my powers manifested in you yet? Feel any different?"

"Different, yes. Complete and filled of a new life." Carlisle say, placing a kiss on my cheek.

I giggle, "My powers would do you some good. The mate bonds are connected. I know you can feel my emotions and powers through that bond."

"You caught me." He says.

"Well how does it feel? Overwhelmed? Did it scare you off?" I ask sitting on a bench.

"It's everything I ever wanted, my daisy." Carlisle says, pulling me to his lap.

"That plays with my heart." I say, holding my heart.

"Yes, feel my love for you. Pure and beautiful." He says, stroking my hair.

I kiss Carlisle on the cheek, "Your shining is blinding me."

"Let's go back inside then." Carlisle carries me back into the castle.
