Abbie's POV
Waking up in dad's bed was warm and cuddly as I think back to the memories of sleeping on his bed. I tiredly make some coffee and warm pancakes for dad before going to my room to shower and get ready for the day.
I finish changing when I hear a knock at the door, it's 8:15 in the morning.
"Abbie?" Dad says.
"You scared me! Don't you have work?" I rush to open the door.
"I got the day off after saying it was your birthday and the school let slip of your early graduation." He chuckles.
"Oh the small town folk. Well I have to go pick up birthday presents and do my "Motherly rounds". I tell him.
"Well you want to go fishing later?"
"Sure" I giggle.
Carlisle's POV
"What are you going to do?" Edward asks me.
"When the time is right. Action will be made." I respond.
"She's cute and talks to bears." Emmett says from playing video games.
"Better than me?" Rosalie questions.
"No baby. She's nothing like you." Emmett responds.
"I'm off to work." Heading to the hospital.
Abbie's POV
"Have you met your soulmates child?" Mother asks me as open presents before setting them side to organize once at home.
"I have met one of them. He's a doctor and helps man kind." I tell her honestly. She looks confused to my thoughts.
"I have not spoken to him. The thought of men scared me but he is different I think. My barriers are still switching very minute so I do not search for them."
"Child don't think of them as the past. They will help you with the future." She sighs.
"I'm sorry, Mother. I have to go home. Thank you for holding to party and letting Charlie come in." I hug her.
"Only for you child. Go home and sleep. No duties for the next 4 days." She says.
"Thank you. See the others soon." I teleport to my room, dropping the bag full of presents.
"Abbie, Is that you!" Dad yells from downstairs.
"Yes!" I rush met the stairs, feeling a little light.
"Ready to go fishing?"
"Yea, yea let ge-" I don't get to finish when I fell in darkness.
Charlie's POV
"Abbie!?" I call and rushed to stop her from falling down more steps. She fainted before reaching the ground.
The snap of her wrist didn't even wake her or a gash to her temple.
I stop her holding her head and body close to me. I hold and rush to my cruise to get her to the hospital.
"Abbie?! You need to wake up! Abbie?! Please baby Bee." I hold close going to the ER doors.
"Someone please help!" A nurse rushes over.
"Charlie what happened?!"
"She fainted." I breathe heavily before realizing I have tears. "Top of the stairs. Came tumbling down. Didn't catch her in time."
"You did as she here now." They take her away to check her injuries, letting me stay near to see if she is okay.
Carlisle's POV
The sweet smell is here again but strong with human blood. I remind of what Alice said. Maybe she is my mate when I'm paged to the ER.
The smell gets strong and Abbie is my mate. The smell of ocean salt and sweet daises. Abbie.
"Abbie Foster, 17, passed out top of the stairs tumbling down to breaking her wrist, gash of her temple, busted lips, black eye." The nurse says.
"Charlie's daughter?"
"Yes doc. I know I should have caught her." He says sitting near her.
"Accidents happen, chief. She'll wake up in a bit for now. I'll clean her gash and bandage the wrist. Morphine for the pain and pain meds for home." I respond.
"She'll go home today?"
"If she wakes and no concussion is present. She is a strong girl. She'll wake up." I continue to take care of my mate.
Abbie's POV
I stir in pain. Mother is no where near and hands hold me down. A dream more of a nightmare, I don't like this. Dad help me! Dad!
Wake in a hospital bed. I blink as the harsh light blinds me. Dad is standing up and a man.
"Can you hear me?"
"Uh d-dad I'm sorry." I reach to hug him.
"No no. Don't move Bee. You gave me a scare. You know where you are?" He asks me holding my hand.
"Hospital. I fell. I was tired." I breathe a bit to smell bright pine and oatmeal. I turn and see one of my soulmates, Carlisle. "Oh" I softly say to hide the slightly gasp.
"There is no sign of a concussion. You may go home in two hours. You may have bruising form over the next days so pain meds for home. Lucky to be caught in time." He says walking away. He knows.
I leave the hospital two hours later. Tired and hungry. "Dad, McDonald's please?" I look towards him.
"Yes. Anything else?"
"Beef noodle stir-fry with chicken egg drop soup."
"Little Bee can eat all today." He said.
Arriving home
"You want to sleep on the couch?"
"No no. I'm going to my room. I won't fall again." I say to dad.
"Bee, I know but you scared me and what if it happens again?"
"I was just tired and didn't eat breakfast." I sigh.
"No leaving your room and if you come downstairs please tell me."
"Okay, goodnight." Taking all my food to my room to eat after changing into comfortable pjs.
