Abbie's POV

"You invited him to your home?! Matthew! They hurt you thinking you were my lover." Walking back and forth in the living room.

"Abbie they wanted you to explain, to know you. Try to understand them. They are from a different time and kings. Their word is law, they have never been. Please." He reasons with me.

"Not now. You meet with him. Ask him to apologize for the beating then maybe I meet him for a bit. For now you get clean up, I'll go eat and make medicine." Going to the kitchen.

Setting natural ingredients for pain medicine to help Matthew. Dinner was my favorite pasta with chicken and mixed grilled veggies. I decide to add apple pie into the mix.

Marcus's POV

"Jane, may you lead me to my mate home?" Standing by the castle doors.

"Yes master."

"Marcus you can't go alone. She is our mate. We meet her together." Caius demands.

"No. Her brother invited one to their home. I'm going to meet her and apologize." Walking away.

Abbie's POV

"Will sit with me when he is here?" Matthew sitting across the table asks me.

"No, I will stay in your bed until he is gone. I came to rest not meet some-"

"You will have to introduce yourself to him. They may not understand but they will understand you." He cuts me off holding my hand.

"I will be asleep. I don't want to." Standing to place my dish in the sink.
"Goodnight."

Seeing it's 8pm sleeping early never hurt anyone. I change into pj shorts and one of Matthew's hoodies again, yellow with embroidered flowers.

Before throwing myself into bed to wrapping blankets around myself and watching Brave to ease my nervous of leaving Matthew by himself with one of the kings.

Marcus's POV

"Master we have arrived. Shall I stay outside?" Jane says.

"Thank you Jane and yes. No harm will be done." Before knocking on the door.

"Oh hello. Thank you for coming Marcus. I'm Matthew-" I cut him off.

"Soul brother to my mate." I say.

"Yes, Abbie is sleeping right now. She began a tough mentally training. I assume you know of the gods and goddesses and their servants throughout the centuries. Yes?" I sit on the couch.

"Yes, my brothers and I have met and worked with 5 servants in the past. They are very useful people. Working for humanity and protecting the earth." I respond smelling the scent of daises.

Abbie's POV

I wake around 11 pm with the worst headache of my life. Blinding pain with stars as I place socks on my feet. Scared to fall down the stairs again I slowly sit down on the steps and move down one by one.

"Abbie what are doing?" Matthew speaks up.

"A blinding headache. I don't want to be upstairs anymore. I'll fall again." Standing up shaking hand with the brace on.

"Use bedroom near the kitchen." He helps me walk.

"No that's Evan room. Has he apologized yet?" Motioning to the king before taking pain medicine.

"I have apologized, my love. I hoped to know understand you-"

"Don't call me that and the purpose of my trip here is to train for the goddess I serve not meet mates. Mattie I'm taking the couch." Settling to the couch with an ice pack on my forehead as Matthew comes down stairs with blankets.

"Is there more to discuss? I can meet with your brothers if you'll like, Marcus?" Matthew suggests.

"Matthew no and thank you Marcus." I say as I bow from my seat. Reaching for the blanket.

"Let me help you love. Don't be so hard on them. You teach them the modern ways." Matthew says helping me with the blanket.

"Goodnight again." I grab his hand to squeeze and sleep again.

Marcus's POV

I spent the next hour talking to Matthew as my mate slept and dreamt in the comfort of her brother.

Only leaving as never ending duty calls not before inviting him to tour the castle formally and to meet my brothers.

Abbie's POV

The morning Matthew was walking on eggshells, what has he planned?

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Getting ready to leave to Sophia's mental training.

"Don't be mad. I'm taking a tour of the castle. They know I'm your soul brother. They won't harm me." He rushes to speak.

"Fine you get to know them. Tell me if their any good?" Grabbing the last of my breakfast and teleporting to the ice ring.

In the ice ring, I calm my nerves moving to the edge to stretch out on the ice. Feeling the pressure of speaking to my mates, forced to like someone.

I wonder around Sophia's estate before starting training around noon. Her walls colored with awards and trophies from past events.

"Abbie training begins. Are you already stressed?" I heard from Sophia.

"Just the wind." I slide into the ice.

"Today think scenarios. The image the unimaginable. Make a mental image be reality. To physically touch." Sophia says as I bring down my mental barrier.

The battle field with the tree center, people running and the loud shots. Panic and the strong hands hold me down from running away. The enemy.

"Abbie!! Stop!!!" Sophia?

Third person POV

Sophia runs to Abbie on the ice. Abbie is thinking of her early time in the battle field. Her fathers men, hold her to rape her. Abbie screams and thrashing around to escape the hold.

"Abbie! It's not real! Abbie! Please wake up!" Sophia screams as she takes Abbie, still thrashing around, off the ice.

"Abbie please!" Sophia yells again for Abbie to pass out. Sophia grabs Abbie's phone to call Matthew.

"Hello?" Matthew answers.

"Where are you? Abbie had an episode, The battle field."

"I'm in a castle but I teleport you here. Just stand on her symbol." Sophia moves to it quickly.

"I'm on the symbol." Sophia hangs up.
