All right... before I begin this chapter I want to inform you that this chapter is not going to be Aki's POV, but mainly, or fully Snow's POV. Enjoy...
There was something fishy about Aki. Not as if she had ate to many Magickarp or anything, but the day before she seemed so worried and now she was so calm, calmer than a Magickarp in water. That weird...
As I walked past her that morning, she was smiling in her sleep. She did not do that very often, so she must have had a good dream this time. Well that was not that weird. In fact, it made her look as cute as a Mew and as graceful and beautiful as an Altaria. Especially with that necklace of hers.
It was strange enough that the necklace of hers changed to a tear drop shape, when she first wore it, but now it was back in it's love-heart shape and was emitting a red shine. Like if the changed whenever her mood or feelings changed. It also had changed from sapphire to ruby, but by now that was not a surprise.
I slowly nudged Aki awake. She yawned and stretched her paws, still smiling. Then she opened her eyes and looked at me and I could promise you the way she looked at me was different. Something about that looked made me feel so warm inside, so joyful.
I mean, I knew she was a unique Absol, for one, Aki had blue eyes whereas most other Absol had them red. She also seemed far more fragile, ever since I first met her. However, she never looked at me like that. And she most certainly never made me feel the way she made me feel now.
My father and grandfather were awake already, cleaning out their den, as was usual for an Absol. We Absol massively cared for our hygiene and we cleared out our dens ever week or so, to ensure there are no parasites or bad germs in out dens.
Aki did so too, cleaning out the den I helped her to prepare a few days ago. I myself decided to do so too, which kept my thoughts busy for about half and hour.
After that, once Aki had finished cleaning out her den, which was quicker then usual, I set off with her to yet another hunting trip. "So what do you feel like hunting today?" I asked her.
"I'm not sure, " she replied, shrugging. She looked in the direction of the fields. "Maybe some Tauros."
"Okay, Tauros it will be then," I agreed, changing my direction slightly. Aki quickly caught up, probably worried of getting lost. Not so long ago that happened and it took me several hours to find her. In the end I found her with a Rattata in her mouth.
The Tauros fields were massive. Far bigger than my territory, as they stretched out for miles. On them was a herd of roughly 80 Tauros' that were quietly grazing on some lush green grass.
Sometimes I envied them their easy lives, but sooner or later I stopped doing so as I realised how far more exciting it is to live in the wild than to just graze or life and then either producing of spring or dying for burgers. Sometimes they were lucky enough to end up with a trainer which meant their meat was not used in burgers, but not always.
"Okay... ready... crouch down..." I commanded quietly. Aki followed my instructions and crouched down like a professional and slowly walked up to the tauros herd.
"Now use Night-Slash on one of them," I whispered as quietly as I good. Both I and Aki used Night-Slash on a Tauros, surprisingly the same one, inflicting it a rather painful scratch on both sides of his figure. I leered at the 80 Tauros, sending them into a sprint.
Being confused and scared, the herd separated, which was just what I planned. They then mixed up and started attacking each other, by an accident, easing our work.
The most weakened one daftly ran away from the fight, just fall into our trap. Needless to say that he went in our direction, at full speed. He did not see us.
Aki attacked his left flank, biting it hard, gripping her claws into his back. The Tauros tried to shake her off to no avail. She just kept on holding on. I then attacked the right flank of his back leg, whilst Aki jumped off for a quick rest, doing the same as she did beforehand.
Then I jumped off. "Hey! What are you doing?! It's gonna escape!" Aki scolded me. I shook my head smiling.
"It's too tired to run and even if it did, it would just drench all his energy. He is going to stop soon," I replied. And what I promised would happen, happened.
The Tauros was too tired out from the fight. I finished him off with a quick shadow ball and the Tauros dropped down dead. Aki walked up to me with her eyes and mouth opened wide.
"Wow! That was amazing! How did you know?" She asked me.
"Experience," I replied simple. No, really, it was experience. If you hunt in groups there is always more than one way to do things. Fore a start you do not need to tire yourself completely out. "We should take the left over to my family."
She nodded and started eating as much as she could. I did to, mainly because the more we ate the easier it would be to carry. Besides, these tame Tauros had tones of meat on them.
We slowly dragged the meat down to my father and grandfather, whom looked at us at surprise. "The two of you are a great team," my grandfather spoke.
"You to would be the perfect family," my father added. Great! Thanks father! I blushed as did Aki.
"Er.... father... I don't really want a family yet, and I think Aki would not wnt one either," I said. Aki quickly nodded. "No offence to you Aki, you are good at hunting and you look pretty, but I don't want a family and I am guessing you don't want to rush anything like that."
"You are right Snow... even if I did have a major crush on you and loved you... which I don't, I would not be ready yet for such responsibility," Aki agreed.
"I was just joking," my father said, pushing me to the side playfully. "I know the two of you are nowhere near liking each other."
"Besides, if Snow wanted so much as come close to Aki, she would have scratched him!" Flame joked. The Charmader obviously did not know how much things have changed between me and Aki. She no longer kept her distance. Wait, Flame was no longer a Charmander, he was a Charmeleon.
He evolved the night before, I saw it all, which was why we celebrated his evolution. Evolution is a special thing.
"That's not true! I would not scratch him, he is a friend," Aki protested.
"And am I your friend?" Flame asked.
"Not if you continue to be such a kid!" she retorted. Flame was silenced.
"Anyone for some Tauros meat?" I asked, crashing the sudden silence after Flame had stopped talking. Flame, my father and my grandfather all started eating.
I looked at Aki, who seemed way more cheerful and I knew then that she changed. 100% sure. I started to have a fishy feeling that she wasn't who I thought her to be.
???'s POV
I looked at the cheerful little scene that unfolded in front of me. It was all so special, but the most special thing lay right next to the bonfire that had been lit, looking at the sky full of stars.
Her beautiful snow-white coat glowed under the night sky, like the stars that occupied the sky. Her blue eyes, although I did not see them at that time, were so beautiful, so innocent looking.
I would get her one day. Steal her from the dastardly Snow and take her away. Own her forever, she will be mine! Oh this revenge was as sweet as any and sweeter for the beauty that was going to come out of this sweet, sweet revenge.
I chuckled quietly as I watched on, still admiring the beauty of the female Absol that was right in front of me. I could have gotten her there and then, but I needed to be patience. Patience brings roses...I thought, smiling... And this patience will bring a very pretty rose indeed!
I hoped you enjoyed this chapter and I hope you shall review. I know I should not get my hopes too high, but I can't help it. So please review...
