"Hmm... I still do wonder how you turned into a human... even for the limited time you did so," I murmured as I walked up the hill with my four pokemon friends by my side.
"I don't know-" Snow spoke.. wait ... spoke - pokemon can't speak in the human language..
"Ugh... you spoke..." I gasped.
"Hey... wait... how come you understand me?" Snow asked shocked. His grandfather laughed.
"I'm sure that the same reason you were turned into an Absol for the time you were one, is the reason for this," he explained. "You'd better find that reason fast, before something weirder happens.."
"What could be weirder than this?" I asked, then I looked at Flame who was chasing his tail. I sighed. "I just had to say that."
Snow chuckled. "Good old childhood."
"You must have been one cheeky little Absol!" I said laughing.
"Oh believe me, he was!" his father joked. Snow glared at him.
"It's not my fault that I did not know Flame's sneezing would result in a few of you hairs on your tail burning!" Snow playfully complained. "Besides I bet you that was genetic."
I laughed. This afternoon may have started of a bit strangely - and by that I mean really strangely - but at least everyone was in a good mood. Apart from Flame who was grumbling because he still hadn't evolved. "Give it time." I heard Snow's grandfather say. But Flame was a teenager and if there's something teenagers really lack, it's patience. I would not be surprised if we kept on seeing him being angry for the next two or three years, oh boy!
We were walking past the place where Silver Claw had died. A Noivern stood next to where the boulder should have been, looking glum and disappointed. I think he was just as disappointed as we where.
Then I saw that the boulder was not there. Nor were there two dead bodies of the victims. Suddenly, a skinny Glameow walked up to snow , but stopped some twenty centimetres away from him, seeming nervous.
"I... is that y..you Snow?" the Glameow asked in a masculine voice.
Snow stared at him in awe. "That cannot be," he murmured, in barely a whisper.
The Glameow nodded. "I watched the boulder fall, I heard all my bones snap, my heart getting squashed, but before I could enter the void I heard a meow. A small white silhouette stood there and the let out a tune. I could promise you it was the most melodic voice I've ever heard."
"Then I woke up and the boulder was gone - and so was the body of Flamemane. I know he is somewhere, but I don't know what he'll look like."
"The legendaries must have took pity on me as I am in my Glameow form and I haven't felt as if I was over-powered by evolution. Besides, I don't have a single scar. I feel like my past was not even a part of my life. But now I have to take care of Flamemane." He finished his explanation. I stared at him, my eyes open wide and my mouth was hanging.
"Is that... are you... Silver Claw?" I asked, he nodded. "Thanks for saving my life."
"I owed the two of you that," he replied. "I see that you're in your true form. I did smell something about you once I got the chance to think. Snow, you protect her, you don't find a pretty little shape-shifter every day... do you?"
I blushed and Snow chuckled. "If you keep on complimenting her like that, you're not going to make things easier for me," he joked.
The two older Absols laughed and Flame just rolled his eyes. "Are you going to come with us, Silver, or not," Snow's father asked.
"Sure, just tell me where and I'll come. Now that we're friends again, Snow will have to fight me to get rid of me!" he replied.
"I'm not even going to try that.. and we are going to find the pokemon that changed Akila into an Absol and let her understand pokemon. It was great to meet her, but it was rude not to ask for permission. Besides, we still need to thank whoever it was," Snow said and headed off.
I followed him and so did the others. This was going to be and awesome adventure - I just knew it!
